Brand new 2010 dragon 800 rmk.

Thought I'd take my chances, MISTAKE.

41 miles, top lugs of belt all torn to hell. (yes my clutches are off a little, but not my problem, have snowing=riding)

around 5 miles later, lose display.

A few minutes later, sled starts cutting out.

Dealers... "two weeks out on service before we can even touch it" Won't give me new parts to install myself.

Supposed to go to Wyoming tomorrow.... (although, glad it didnt happen there)

Gonna see what the dealer I bought it from will do for me. If they'll work something out, i'll get a Pro and hope it's not a POS.

First time back on a sled in 5 years, and this. Those 50 miles were sure fun though :mad2:

Took a gamble and lost.

Another failure

XC6,

Sorry to hear about the problems, let us know what the selling dealer says or does for you? I hope things work out for a trade in or up but the dealers are not offering much on the old IQ's.

I don't know, I'll see. I already know this will be a multiple time incident if I have it fixed.

If they want future buisness, they'll do something for me.

This sucks....

Unbelievable, They should throw all the remaining new sleds away! Can't something like this be considered lemon law? Another trip ruined by Polaris

Just wait till they get a few miles on the pro iam guessing the same story as the iqs, They are pretty much trying to forget about the iq guys and we all sorta forgot about the 900s i caught a bunch of heat becasue i said they need to get the old sleds to work rite before they go building new sled.

but hey just my opinion

I believe for lemon law to take effect, it has to happen three times without a "fix" found. Has anyone else with problems looked into this?

I'm just completely lost, I know this is gonna continue to be a non-stop problem.

I was so caught up in the "piston problems" before I bought this sled, that I didnt even know of the VR/ECU problems, and that it's probably even worse, and likely more troublesome.

I guess with piston/engine problems, I can always resort to aftermarket big bore's that will run and or stay together. Chasing electrical gremlins is a whole other ball game.

I'll make some phone calls tomorrow and see what the dealer can do. :tsk:

I'm sure it'll be "sorry, thanks for buying it though"

Ok...

Dealer I bought it from is sending me a VR. Charging me initially, then will credit my account once I send the fried one back.

I just hope this isn't a revolving game.

We'll see how this VR works. If it fries, ill find a different sled. Been out of riding for five years, and won't let this one ruin it for me.

I'll also add that it was my local dealer that was reluctant to do anything. Dealer I bought it from 4.5hrs away is being helpful.

We'll see how it goes.
