I am the proud owner of a new to me 2007 M1000. I have spent 3,800 dollars in the last two seasons to keep my stupid 2003 Polaris Edge on the snow. To some of you 3,800 is no big deal but to people like me who don't have that kind of money laying around its a HUGE deal. (Especially to my non-snowmobile riding wife)

Congrats! You will enjoy riding instead of going to the shop to look at your sled. Having a bad sled is like a having a alcoholic wife, you love her and want to get her help, but after years of things not changing, and the family is not helping, it's time to move on.......

I finally sold my 02 800 rmk for dirt cheap and went and bought an 07 m1000
and i am proud to say that i haven't had to stop at my mechanics shop and ask "Will it be done by the weekend?" I know the 1000 have some minor problems, compared to the rmk, but i think i can deal with it

good move, i just sold my m 1000 due to a surgery, and that thing was rock solid reliable, never a single issue, just pull, hold on tight, and ride! took me where ever i wanted to go!

I saw the writting on the wall, and made the switch before I was in the negitive. Same problem 800 Poo.

With so many people boned by Polaris over the years its amazing they still sell sleds.....all the 800's and dont even mention the 900 nightmare...

The M's are a dream come true !

I still love my 02 edge. I have only had to replace the motor once so far.....been looking at the cat forums and it is very tempting. Keep us posted, it will be nice to see some true comparisons. The cousins M1000 is getting a new motor due to the oil pump not working, hope that is the exception. He left an 04 vert. escape for it and say's there is not much difference in the power. Any thoughts out there?

I love my sled

I currently run a 03 rmk 800 151'' - my 4 th Polaris ( sled - not including quads ) - never a bottom end issue( maintenance ? ) & I will replace it with a Dragon next season . I also drive a Duramax & my buddy runs a Dodge ? I drink Budweiser & neighbor drinks Miller . I like Brunettes not Blondes - LOL

Lets put this into perspective... 3,800$ spent on a sled worth 2,500$. What took you soooooo long to jump ship? **** if mine cost me more than gas,oil,belts it'l get ghost ridden of a steep cliff

I have been on Polaris sleds since 2002, only problems I had were caused by me. My son bought an 07/M8, at 240 miles the ECU went on it, Canadian price for it is $1900. They all have issues!!!
