I have been in the parts world for 12 years this has been the slowest I have seen it. or we have messed up with the snowest public let me know if we have so we can fix it

Gas is the highest price ever.
Law suit after lawsuit here in California.
Sled prices are way up !
I think sleds are a litle more reliable and require less mods to make them optimal for riders today.
This past 4 years the average car on the road is 11 years old ... where 10 years ago it was less than 5 years.
Communication is much faster/easier and I have bought more stuff from individuals this year than ever before.

I think you hit it right, sleds just don't require as much nowa days. stock out of the box, the new sleds are enough for your average rider. No need for lots of tweeking!! That and the net, makes it easy to find the cheapest things on the market. Alot of places with cheap parts have free shipping to get the orders...
I have been buying SLP parts from motorcycle shops for less than cost these past weeks.
Hab\ve bought some great deals on parts from farmers who write off the sled as an expense!
Plus here in California many many sled shops are gone BUT I can buy a sled anywhere in the USA and have it shipped here INSURED for under $400.

OK...im going to be respectfully frank with you.
I have been following your odd posts for parts for sale etc and i just always get the impression you are just barely with your head above water which always led me to the thoughts..

All im saying is that there is a HECK OF ALOT OF MONEY BEING SPENT ON AFTERMARKET..get in with the flow of things on this forum with ALOT of regular participation and you will notice a differance..

What the heck difference in what I ride? For a Business that is wrong to go with one brand and it Doesn't matter. I am not a flyby night I do have a store front unlike others on here. If you care what i ride, I ride polaris. A1996 to 2005 polaris pipe and performance nut and I dont give advice unless asked. Had a web site no one used it always called or message here. What is Osborne Performance, we used to be called OTO Performance, before the t part passed away changed that for nobody's business, we also own a feed store in this area . I am Friends and shirt tail related to some major people in the sled world. I do not use their name to gain sales that is not right to do.I just noticed a decline in the last year just thought I would ask why and to see if I had offended anyone.

Read what you write. Would you do business with this guy or someone that can't communicate on a professional basis? Don't get so defensive when you ask for our help. If you don't take the time to "look professional" I won't give you my time. You are in a competitive business and need to make me want your product and able to trust you. Step out there and give us your opinion and don't get in a fight with those that hurt your feelings. Say what you feel and back it up professionally. The moral of the story is Professionalism in all aspects of your business. An example is in a name. Do a search on here and/ or Google the name Racin Station. I have bought nothing from him but he makes me want to. He has a web site that tells me what he is about. He is on this form giving people help, using his name and sticking it in my head. As for OTO or Osborne Performance I don't care about your problems. Tell me what YOU can do for me and maybe I'll remember you. How I remember you is your choice. JMO

100% agree.
On a separate note, last years snow fall was generally the worst it has been in many, many years. People did not ride much, meaning people didn't break much. How was your business last fall after the record snow fall two years ago? I'm betting business was good.

I honestly don't feel my husband deserved to be treated like a child. He is very skilled with snowmobiles, atv's and diesels. He isn't a computer geek like most people seem to think salesmen should be. You call and talk to him on the phone and you will scratch your head over this whole post. He does a wonderful job face to face or on the phone.. Computer is not one of his high skills..

See..thats a start at letting me know ya a bit...at least now i know you ride,the brand doesn't matter like you say,its just for some conversation.
Your friends and shirt tail relations don,t sell me on a product,your customers speaking well of you will though.
If your not comfortable totally on a computer there is programs like spell check etc on you computer and as well your wife does seem to want to intervene so she could edit your stuff..??
How big is your store front..??..large inventory..??...clothing..??
You do any Turbo builds...??...who;s bigbores do you like...??...why...??
You see, i would have an idea of some of the above if you just mingle more and just let it come out in general conversation.
I sure would not want to be competing for any dollars on this site...there is so many very very good people..racinstation...Oregon Trail..1100cat...etc etc etc..
Im certain though that you can as you have indicated you have been business for quite a while,but everyone is doing business abit differant now..the computer age.
You say you don;t give advice unless asked,well thats fine and dandy,but people have to know your one of the fella's to ask..!!
And the only way im going to know that is by listening to what you have to say,and i am not going to get to know you over the phone.

I don't think anyone treated anyone like a child. Just some costructive criticism is what I seen. I am in outside sales for a living, and one thing I know is that if you want people to buy from you, they have to like and trust you. You have to interact with them and build relationships with them. Get to know them, their interests, hobbies etc.. You can't just sit on the sideline and hope to have the sales fall in your lap. If people like you, trust you, and know you know your stuff, then the sales will come to you. Just my 2cents. Good luck. Sales is a dog eat dog world and you have to kiss the a$$ that is attached to the hand that feeds you to put it bluntly.

I just bought 2 sets of pistons and gaskets from snoghost on here. I'd seen his name on the forums often enough to recognize it but I don't know him from adam. He put up a post saying he had a sale going on parts so I pm'd him and got a price, it wasn't the absolute cheapest I could have found but I thought I'd spend a few dollars at a fellow snowester as opposed to buying off ebay. He was great to deal with and I will buy from him again in the future. The choice of snoghost was fairly random, it could have just as easily been osbourne performance if I would have noticed a similar post from you, and if I need something in the future I'll give you a try as well. I don't think anyone was really busting your chops here, more like constructive criticism, don't take it to personal. The internet is the way of the future, thats obvious even to me, how to use it to a buisness' advantage I have no clue. Don't give up on snowest, there are lots of guys like me on here that spend way more than they should on sleds.
