HWY 150 Plowing Status??

Wow Thats alot of snow still up there. Defianltey a July ride is a must this year.

Yo, thats the road gap jump! our kicker is still on top of the rocks in the picture... should make for some good shots on saturday! thanks for posting! They are getting close to the top with plowing!

is there enough downhill above that jump for say a snowboard? or do you have to have an engine?

Island Peak or Cone Peak as its referred to Has the most snow i have ever seen on it. Usually you can climb it by picking your way through large rocks. Its a wild ride, but i put my route to the top on there. So nice to still have alot of snow!!!

It was taken from the north end of Long peak above Hells kitchen.

Yes there is enough down hill for skiers and boarders... there is about 3-4 hours work time in set up, jump needs to be rebuilt, landing needs a few plow boulders removed, and for skiers/boarders you would need to shovel in 2 tree wells for a smooth approach.

Road was plowed to the summit on saturday. 9 foot banks most of the way from lily lake. snow should be good for another week, 2 if it gets cold again.

why wait? The gap looks killer with highway underneath it and you can park a couple cars or trucks under it!
