how much do you try and talk the dealer down?

7500 out the door would be a good price.

Personally, I get the dealer to go as low as possible. I also shop around other dealers so you get a better idea of what the sled you are looking at is really worth.

brand new? used? track length? 600 or 800? x model?
how bout you give us some specs on the sled and we will tell you what its worth...

2007 summit 600 SDI 144 track. stock, brand new no miles. 1 year bumper to bumper warranty.

i was thinking 7500 was pretty fair...but wanted some more experienced input, ive never bought a brand new sled before...
thanks guys

our dealer usually gives us a real fair price and we dont negotiate after that..shoots us a good price first time and we buy..:D

dam, i just got off the phone and he said he cant go lower than 7700!!?? so i asked him if hed throw in a skid plate and the set up fee if i paid 7700, still no go. dam....

when I bought my sled (a new carry over) I found new older sleds at other dealers and they wanted more money, claimed it was has low has they could go, makes no sense to me.

He knows that you want it, so he feels that he can get you to pay the higher price. Keep shopping around if you don't feel right about the price.

This is what i have learned in buying toys: Support the dealers that will support you after the sale. I learned the hard way with my boat ( I don't want to mention any names, but their initials are Action Motor Sports in IF, ID) that buying from someone who will take care of you after the sale is gold. Now I buy from who will give me the best service, even if I have to pay a little more for it.

;) the last 2 sleds I bought I knew ahead of time just what and how I wanted it,,,,called the dealer or went there in person, told them just what it was I wanted and how, told him I would not try and beat him around or down,,just give me the best price out the door a one shot only, and I would not go back and play the price game one dealer against the other, usualy works good, than ck the dealers record on service,,,.........:beer;
