How Many MILES / DAYS did you ride this season ??

i think we started on halloween, last ride was spring fling may 2nd......rode 46 days personal record...40+ on the mesa alone!!

required an new motor tho to finish the season.......

We only took two trips to the mountains this year. I take the family every other year to the mountains for Christmas and this was our year. So when we go up as the entire family it's more of a leasure trip for relaxing. So we rode five days at Christmas time for 270 miles. Then in March our four person riding group went back out for four days and we hit it for another 290 miles. So we rode a total of nine days for 560 miles. On a normal year we get four trips in and we get about 1800 miles a year. I'm already counting the days until December and hopefully this year will be BETTER >>>>.

WINTER COUNTDOWN.

199 days
23 hours
37 Minutes

Winter is on Tuesday, 21 December 2010
199 days, 23 hours until Winter

Around here, pretty much.
I don't think there was very much real rideable snow in November last year.
We just don't have the elevation in this part of Idaho to support it unless we get really lucky.

I have gotten out in october the last 2 years.. only short goofing around rides.. but good to get some bugs worked out, get the sleds moving again.

Now that I have 3 sleds of my own, I am HOPING to get a much earlier start this coming season as well !!

I made graph of the snowfall in our local mountains here.

Looking for the time when we have a solid 30+ Inches of base, which I think is about what we need to begin riding safety and not destroy a sled around here in the mountains.

Dec 14
Dec 14
Nov 20
Nov 10
Nov 29
Dec 14
Dec 14

Mid December seems to be the most common date to hit 30 inches on SnoTel.

I got a whole 565km on my sled this year. Maybe a dozen days at most. That's what happens when you leave home for university...

The worst part was only getting one pow day! However, I'm not in the mountains, so I can't count on pow too often.
