How Many MILES / DAYS did you ride this season ??

First ride was 11/21, the day I started work at the mtn. Rode every single weekend after work till Feb 14th, hit a tree, totaled my sled, picked up the new sled on 2/28 and had to wait a whole week to ride. Rode till 4/25 and put 330 miles on the new sled. I have no idea how many miles on the Cat-O-Lantern (RIP) because it didn't have a speedo. Always used at least my 6 gal can for all our rides. Best bet is 28-30 days. 90% off trail, 10% to get where we like to ride.

My sole reason for working at a ski resort is the cheap gear and an excuse to go ride every day after work.

I spent about 3 hours on a sled this year, and an hour of that was following a sled in the dark that was getting pulled out, no headlight on mine, or the one getting pulled out. It was a blast! I did get to spend 3 months on my couch healing up from back surgery though!

Hopefully next season will be MUCH better for ya!!

6,000 Miles !!

DANG, that is some serious seat time!!

Yup, before the huge fawkin' jump in price of fuel I used to put on 10k easily, highest was about 11.2k in one winter. Love the XP seat, but hate the front end suspension and bar feedback. :face-icon-small-sho Yammi's won't last out where I live, the 4-strokes are way to heavy and suspensions suck azzzz.

Huge miles on a sled!!

I've ridden with Dan Adams and Chris Burandt.. a BIG day with them is 40 miles and you will be so exhausted at the end of the day that you can't see straight.

I agree, Days is a better criteria for evaluating Mountain riding time.

I got in about 30 days this year... some health issues gave me a late start.

This is the time of year when people are asking questions like "Whats the best ______ mod?"....

Well the best mod, IMO, is to improve your Athletic condition so that you can ride longer, and in better control and be able to get yourself unstuck or help a friend when your lives may depend on it. You will be able to ride the next day, in control, when your body is not in "emergency recovery" mode.

Started 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and we are still riding, probably get in 2 more trips before we give in and call it a season. (Awesome to be able to ride in June:D)

My totals so far, 30 Days and 1165 miles of Mountain riding (a personal best):D That puts an average day at just under 40 miles this season... considering the low snow year, I think that's pretty good, and like Mountainhorse said, being in good shape is important...:D

i know the title says how much for this season but i'm just gonna throw in the last 2 seasons cause i've hardly ridden due to being in college and living far away from riding areas. last year i got out to 2 flatland poker rallies and then rode for one day last june. this year i was able to get out 3 weekends in a row starting in november since school didn;t start till jan. then this i rode a couple times in ditches after school then took a big trip to revy only to drive 15 hours one way get about 4 hours of riding due to mechanical problems and the avalanche.

so my total is almost 10 days of riding and a whole lotta driving approx 8000kms. :face-icon-small-sad

Around 2,000 Km so far, would have been more but my BF and I went to Mexico... WHY??? We're still riding in Castlegar.... Best week was riding 6 out of 7 days, man my arms were sore! So how do you get paid to do this????

I started riding this last season around the 10th of Dec. and my last day was April 1st. Had to go back to work, my season got cut short, by about 2 mouths. We rode a little more than 50 days if my count is right 53 to be exact. We ride 3 to 4 days a week every week, There is 3 of us that have a very free schedule, I'm off all winter, an other has a ranch with nothing to do but feed cows in the moring, and the third is the boss, and makes the hired help do the work, LOL. We put on around 1700 miles give or take a few. 95% of those miles are off any groomed trail and all in the mountains in north east Oregon. IMO there is nothing better.
For sure I would agree with being as fit a you can be.
