0 for me, the day I showed up at Great Lakes for boot camp it was -60 windchill, I haven't liked the cold since, could have been a coincidence but why chance it.

been out many times between -20 and -30C, just gotta dress for the part. belaclava, better gloves, more layers!!!!!!!!! usually only the trail ride in is really cold, then once on the hill it seems better(just working harder)

A group of us went North of Park Rapids,MN in the early 1980's. We drove up on a Friday afternoon in a ground blizzard, the automatic choke on my 1972 Ford pickup went on South of Wadena where it was -20F with a NW wind blowing. The next morning when we got up it was -45F. After we got our sleds started we did go for a ride, about 10 miles. We got back to the resort and spent the rest of the day playing pool and having a few beers in the bar. I was riding a 1978 Polaris TX340 Free air at the time, no hand warmers and a windshield and front end that provided very little wind protection.

-23F on top of the Horns two years ago. Dress for it and ride hard all day. Was one tired s.o.b. after that day.:D

As kids in Northern Minn we would go out at-45 F. now in Colorado if the temp is -20 we have clear skies and the sun will make it feel warmer. Still dont mind the cold. Cover skin and layer and you are good to go. I start wearing a coat at 30f

When I was about 15 we were up at some friends cabin at osprey lake in bc interior... -38c when we got there, plugged the trucks in right away. Woke up the next morning and the thermo was pinned at -66c, bundled up real good... took about 3 hours to start three sleds, went for an hour long ride. We decided to go home... Trucks wouldn't turn over, had to fold an old tin boat in half and build a fire in it and put it under the oil pan to soften up the oil enough to start the trucks... It was kinda scary lol

Two winters ago we went out to Cooke and when we woke up Saturday morning to go ride it was -39f and the temps did not warm that day. It was one cold ride. But if we were out in the sun, it was not all that bad. Once we got into the shadows, it was freaking nasty. The only reason why we rode that day is we spent 20+ hours driving out there from Mpls.

After about 2 days of below zero a inversion sets up here. -10F at the house and +15-20F above 7500 feet. If you can stand the cold long enough to get up there it is usually the best, no one else around. -15F usually is the limit with the guys I ride with.

Everyone is missing the obvious. When the beer starts freezing it's time to go home.:beer;

Ahh... when the beer freezes in the bottle or can before you can finish it, or your lip sticks, then you know it is cold out, but all worth it!

Been out below -30 C with no issues. Windchill is not an issue if dessed for the season. Good times!

rode sunday it was 37 below when we unloaded, 18 below when we loaded up, no wind, bluebird day, rode slow on the trail, played as much as possible to keep warmed up, up high if you stopped in the sun you could feel it warm you up, rode in -20's many times as long as it isn't windy, lots of layers, scarf and baclava, no skin exposed,

Went from tok alaska to dawson creek canada (200 miles one way)one year and it was -68 F. at 7am at 11 am in chicken alaska it was -57F. that was a cold trip..we did it in 5 hrs..last of the riders and the sweeps came in at midnite( over 200 riders)..have ridden alot at -35to -40 below..(checking trapline)..but I prefer -10 or warmer...

Last year we left on a ride it was -23 c.
When we got back it was - 30 c. It did not feel that cold but was I ever happy to be back at the trucks.

Ridden several times at -35*F, bundled up pretty good for it though. Last winter we rode in -20*F often, just gotta dress for it, have a functional windshield that blocks the wind.
