OMFG!!!!!
The snow was INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!
Had to keep stopping. The snow was packing in around the helmet and goggles to the point you couldn't see. You couldn't swipe it off fast enough.
We tried to get up this narrow windy backcountry trail to get to some large bowls. Yea, not so much. Made for one of the worst stucks I have had in 2 years. Ended up flipping 2 sleds end for end to get back out and go around.
Decided to hit the trails and go in the back way. Takes longer, lots more trails to run, but you can get to the bowls going down hill.
They didn't groom the trails. There was 2'+ of snow on the trails and no-one had been down them. I have never had so much fun riding down the trails in my life. WFO, pulling maybe 20mph landspeed, track doing 60. Did this for over 9 miles.
Got to the back side and put the sled in a hole. Well, I thought it was a hole. It wasn't. It was armpit deep snow that went on for miles. I got stuck going downhill. THe snow was so deep it was packing over the windshield and pushing the riders off the back.
I LOVED IT!
I'll get some picks up soon. DIdn't get too many. Spent most of the day just full throttle blasting thru the snow.
