Just watched the video on another site. Left me thinkin about what those who have been through this and survived went through. And thoughts about those who I've read about on SnoWest that didn't survive...RIP.

Wow, a place and situation that I couldn't even imagine being in.

Props to his buddies for knowing how to use their equipment.

All I can say is WOW!!!

Thanks for the link.:beer;

Unreal...

We have a good solid group of 6, and only 3 use avalanche equipment. the other three say it'll never happen to them.

At least I know there are two of them who have my back...

I,m with you mike, this clip really hits home, we really need to get keith up to speed, I'll send it to Brenda.

I wonder if some of the audio after they have uncovered the skiers face is the man trying to get the rescuer's attention to move the avalung from his mouth. Whaddya think? I think that the breathing sounds less restricted after you see the rescuer reach into the pit.

Thanks for posting this. Freaky footage. Thank goodness for the happy ending.

I would say that there are 3 that won't go with me until they get gear. I always said that it would not happen either until March 12th. It happened. I had 3 guys with me with gear. Luckily we only needed shovels.

Get the right gear Now! Or don't go!

Ditto here, I stopped riding with people that don't have gear.

I've been in quite a few slides, both on sled & on skis/board, this video is still scary as heck.
It never quite feels the way you think it will when the ground falls away.

I found myself breathing heavy just watching and hoping to see the rescuer's. Everyone that is out there should have beacon's and probes and a shovel. It's also not enough to just have but all should no how to use it. Thanks for the amazing footage. This should be posted at the top of every section so everyone can see it. Travis

Wow scarry as hell. The more I see vids like this the more I wonder if its worth the risk. I am a flatlander that makes 1 to 2 trips west per year I am not a big hill climber I just love the scenery and the huge amounts of snow. Be safe everyone.

Wow

This video is def an eye opener. We watched it here in the office a couple weeks ago and it doesn't get less scary thats for.

If you guys are going to be riding in dangerous areas and haven't been through avalanche training--please, be safe and get educated!

This video actually inspired us to make our own custom avalanche survival packs for sale on our site. Its a better deal than buying all this stuff separately and its def something you should have-no matter who you get it from!

Be safe out there and have fun!

Knowing that it is my *** that might be under the snow ..... If you don't have equipment then you are not riding with us... The other three in your group need to get their equipment for your sake not theirs !!
