Like I said before. It takes more than one tool to do a big job. Have to use all the tools which includes the wall. With any of this stuff, for every way you try and stop something they are trying to come out with 2 different ways to get around it. You have to keep trying. With the wall stopping some of the drugs and most of the illegal immigration you can focus more of your assets elsewhere.
That is why their wall is shorter.

Yes ladders and other methods to circumvent a physical border will always be an issue, but the physical border does slow activity down enough to give border patrol a better opportunity to perform their duties successfully.
In any scenario, if certain tools help your employees perform duties more efficiently you purchase those tools. Strong business principal and simple common sense.

I think rather than quoting what you read somewhere, you should come on down south and spend some time. The open border policy is a huge problem for those that live near it and no amount of "experts" on the subject will change that. Building a wall on the other hand will make a massive difference. The cost argument is a JOKE. We have spent more than the cost of the wall building walls along freeways to control sound but this wall for our nations safety is too expensive?
The problem is VERY real whether the pundants you quote think so or not. I know dozens of illegals that snuck across personally, entire families that did it. The drug thing is what is the most hilarious... We catch more at legal crossings so that must be where the drugs are coming from... So because you are to inept to catch the drugs coming across the open border it isn't happening or isn't a problem? Tell that to those who live in border towns. My bet is, they will disagree with what you have posted because they have real experience with the problem.

I guess I would like to have someone show me where that is on the Mexico Guatemala border. I just looked at aerial coverage and I sure don't see where that much infrastructure exists on that border.

I must apologize, I somehow missed your response to this one.
It has to be bs because the caravan came right up with nothing slowing them down.
This argument is invalid. Here's why:
10 people are standing in a field. A line in painted 30 feet in front of them. They are told to run past the line and attempt to evade the two guards on the other side.
All 10 begin to run, the guards catch three of them, and 7 get away.
Now... same scenario, only this time, the 10 people must climb up and over a 15' structure in order to cross over the line.
All 10 run towards the structure, and begin to climb over. The two guards call for backup, and 4 more show up just as the first few people crawl over the structure. All 10 people are caught as they cross the line.
If you don't think a barrier works...please research Yuma, El Paso, and San Diego.
They use the same old talking points. We need to use all this technology. Ask them what that is and there is no answer. You can fly all the drones in the world but if you don't have boots on the ground it does you no good. With no barriers or wall you need way more people.

once again!!!! here flyes all the old false equivalence arguments. I always thought that eminent domain goes against the core beliefs of the GOP or have they forgotten what those are.

As far as imminent domain goes, I am usually not a fan. There are some things you can't get done without it such as highways. My big problem with the highways are they take more than they need and then don't manage it for things such as noxious weeds so I have to. I do have a problem when trump tried eminent domain for a casino which isn't a necessity. He thinks he's adding 1000 jobs so it is ok. I think landowners rights should trump that. The wall on the border is about national security. Whole different ballgame.

But the wall is not about national security. I will give you local security. Even regional security is a stretch. But national security come on!!!!. Trump is certainly trying to make it about national security and of course fear is a great motivator. See religion for fear tactics over the past centuries. Don't even mention the stupid 4000 terrorists number that Sarah threw out there that was even debunked by Trump TV. I read an article about a rancher in Texas that has been in litigation for over 10 years with the federal government with regard to the use of his property along the southern border with no end in site. That is just one person. Ranchers know along the border know that a wall wont work. The Boarder Agents know where the people are illegally crossing into the US and hence why there are fences in those locations. Illegal immigration has been in issue for as long as i have been alive and an idiot like trump is not going to fix it. More people over stay their visa's but no one seems to discus that fact. its much easier to say billions of ms-13 gang members are caravan ing across the southern border and going to kill your women and children. Fox News seems to run front page stories daily about an illegal immigrant killing someone to feed that fear. If they listed how many other killing that happened in the US during that same period the illegal one would not even be a blimp on the radar. I am all for border security but a stupid concrete plank/steel fence/whatever trump wants to call it in the next press conference is not the answer. Please hold for press conference tonight from oval office, he may call it something else tonight. I read that the cost of what we have now is estimated around 7 billion. and barriers are placed were they see the most traffic and in areas that can support that type of barrier. So 5 billion for a wall wont even cover the areas we have now. I do have to say one thing The Wall distraction and the Government shutdown has been quite the distractions from of the plea deals of Trumps Former associates. I don't think the shutdown effects Mueller team to bad for Trump. Crazy time we live in.

I will also bet they don't know where they are all coming in because they don't even know whose here. Same with the drugs. If they knew where they were all coming in, which they claim is port of entry, they would stop the flow. I have never seen liberals concerned about spending someone else's money. Just admit it is about trump. I have yet to hear a border agent say a wall won't work. You come walk through my corral, with the gate open and then try it with a 20 foot barrier and tell me it doesn't work.
