hmmm...pazer motor

i wonder how much hp i can get out of a phazer motor if i bring up top the hill to Tim Bender and have him "tinker" with it? 63 stock is impressive for a 480! is it a true 480cc? i know my so called 503 isnt really a 503.....

parts

for sure .. tassles and a bell. sounds like the parts are coming together..
looking good over here as well

yeah, keep missing out on clutches. lost another auction tonight. guess that's what happens when your workin with a budget. not used to that!:

im new to the 2 skis...

does the cat with the diamond drive have the motor in backwards?carbs in front? that pic goodspeed posted comes up about 1/2" x 1/2" so i cant really see it that good.i assume its a cat with exhaust over the head....

65

any input on fork angle???? hawks are pretty steep!

As you may know Roo, Most DH bike's head angle are around 64.5 to 67.5 degrees. XC bikes are around 71,72. Most Motocross are around 60 degrees (30 degree rake)

I wish I had access to my hawk to measure it up but I think the Hawk would be around 70degrees.

Personnally I could ride a slacker head angle on my Hawk, it would probably handle better going downhill. And just by writing this, I just realized that I have the same fear on an XC bike going downhill as on my hawk (not to mention that the baddest time I went over the bars was on my hawk when I trenched a channel with my forks&ski landing from a jump...) Since too slack of a head angle will suck going uphill and since you will want the concept machine to rock in any situation, I'd go with something around 64-65.

Any photos yet ?!?!

motor is not backwards, intake and exhaust both come out front.

was thinking of splitting the difference. don't want to be too far either way. still waiting on UPS to deliver parts should be able to start some real progress by the end of the week.

kind of like the idea of the carbs in the front...more room to stuff the fuel tank down low, easier to get to carbs for jetting changes, easier ram air(haha).i gotta get to the cat dealer and check this out....

On a 503f you can turn the cyls. and pistons around to mount the carbs. on the front and run the exhaust straight out the back, might be something to look at on whatever engine you choose to use. The exhaust being gone from out of the front of the machine should lighten up the nose a bit - plus the exhaust smokin' out the back would be cool.

Cannondale??

Talked to a guy at the expo this weekend that has built 2 snowbikes with full size tracks. One was a big block motor cut in half. single cyl.100 hp.CVT.. sounds familiar.. very interesting and full of good info...

Not just the Hawk Forum!

The internet and forums are the tools the Oneski allways needed, unless the only justification is VINTAGE!
As I said, Snowest forum, I'll never agree to Snowhawkjockey's request since there is no point to preach to the quior. Thumpertalk, ADVRider, Amsnow, Mud and Snow, etc. all have many catergories these inventors/enthusiasts should be slipping wedges into, to hold the door open so they don't lock shut!

With the efforts some of us Hawk riders have putt in, the next Oneskis should lead by example. The Harley/Chevy/Ford mentality will always be with us, and will only continue if more Oneski products appear.

If that deadbolt closes, welcome to the Vintage forum!

Sure this guy figured he was on to something, no frown!

The obituary.
