A few days ago, I contacted a lady who was selling a motorhome for a ridiculous deal and thankfully I was first in line to snag it up. I drove down to Black Forest to pick it up the next day (yep I was first). I turn onto her road and she tells me I should turn around, she's got another guy coming and offering more. I'm like are you kidding, I'm just about to pull into your driveway and I just drove 100miles. After speaking with her she came to her senses realizing that the world is so damn greedy and that she should follow thru with her word. After speaking with her, I felt bad and just didt want to take anything away from her kids. I told her if its a money thing I understand you have a family and I wouldn't want to take away from their livelihood. I knew I wanted the motorhome, there was one exactly the same 2' shorter then this with more miles at a dealership for twice the money.
The 2nd buyer shows up, walks around I introduce myself and we get to talking about snowmobiling. My goal of a motorhome is to have a place to stay in the summer and to keep my pups cool. A diesel is key because you never find them for this type of money and they can pull my rigs wherever you want to go. Low and behold its Mark. I couldn't believe it, I had the hardest time letting go of this great opportunity but I've learned in life that some things are worth giving up if you feel it in your heart. I decided to let he and his girlfriend have it in exchange for a stays at his lodge. It was a difficult one to walk away from, but what I learned from this is, it's not always a bad thing to look out for people and to be humble. Mark and his gf have 3 kids, they will have many wonderful memories shared in the motorhome. It is that experience that those kids will appreciate as they grow older and reflect one day as adults.
My dogs and I, well we don't have a motorhome now but we have a beautiful place to stay in the winter next season and I can't wait!!.
Sadly, the family who was selling the motorhome is in the thick of the fire right now and I'm praying they are safe and out of harms way. Regardless of what you believe, I believe everything happens for a reason and god has a plan.
Cheers to a great summer and safety in these fires!
