go pro helmet cam hd ??

my buddy got one for Christmas and i am hoping to get mine tomorrow after i return a few gifts *ahem* kind of feel like a dink about returnin em but that camera is just beggin for me to get it. i had the old go pro wide, and was pretty satisfied with it , so i am pretty jazzed for this on, it really looks like they hit it home. unfortunately the only place i have found that sells it is a local doo dealership and they priced it a 360$ seems a tad high im not sure what the msrp actually is though.

I just bought a vholdr contour-hd and I'm very impressed with the quality of the video >>>>.

I just got the vholdR contour 1080p HD for xmas. I have the 720p HD too and was very happy with it. I'm a techy so had to upgrade. LOL

I'ver seen video from both and both are great, A friend has the gopro and it take excellent video. I like to shape/style of the vholdr better. I can mount it on the side of my helmet below my goggle strap about cheek level. It gives great POV and you dont see any helmet in the video.

I'm selling the 720p for $200, retail is $249. Its been used 3 times. I bought it first, tried it, loved it, then got the 1080p for xmas

The new Go Pro HD has a rechargeable lithium ion battery, and also has a new CMOS sensor which is very power efficient. The new HD model is nothing like the old GoPro other that they kind of look the same. The battery lasts very long ( better than 3 hours ) and you can buy spares for $25. Some things I like about the GoPro are the waterproof housing ( goes to 160ft deep ) and the replaceable front lens element in case you scratch it. The fact that you can change modes ( 720p, 960p 1080p ) without having to " upgrade " to a different model like the VholdR. also you can shoot native 60 frames per second which give you silky slo-mo's. Lots of options and mounts plus they are going to have a piggy back LCD screen soon and a piggyback battery that extends the life over twice as long. great camera !

PM me if you want one, they are selling fast !

All the footage of the go pro hd looks awesome. I think it looks better than the others. Only thing about the others is that you can put it on your goggle strap.

Post up the vid!

I just ordered the GoPro HD from REI... I went with it over the vholdr for a few reasons. First, the non-HD go pro takes pretty good video. The image stabilizer works great. Second, I watched a few videos filmed with the vholdr that were bright light conditions and you couldn't see any definition in the snow (it was just white space). Supposedly the new vholder has brightness/contrast adjustment, but you can only adjust it when it is plugged into the computer.

BAM!!!!!!
