Kinda old news but yes battery creation and battery life is an issue. Both are being heavily invested in to improve. Next you'll tell us they are expensive to replace! Yep we know. Good that you are doing your research. It is the new frontier so learning pros/cons is better than ignoring it.

More about the electricity use and carbon output compared to gas vehicles that I think is important. 90% of gas during the 120k km. Doesn't include the difference in manufacturing footprint

Quick answer. Get solar for your house and charge your car. Upfront cost gets offset quickly over time. Works better out west obviously. I know lots of people who charge for free at their municipal employer lot.

Other issue is that all that new equipment and auto is expensive so poor people can't easily get on that program. So offering incentives helps.....

Things aren't going to change quickly which is my main argument to people who are so adamantly against or scared of change.

Simple it isn't the cost as much as the environmental impact. There is a place for electric cars but not going to fix the supposed global warming. The real problem i still believe is lack of knowledge of weather cycles and pushing an agenda that isn't equal. The other part is wildfires that happened throughout time but the difference is we can limit and control to an extent but some states dont.

Dude you keep talking in circles. In your opinion they don't have enough knowledge on climate. Who are you to judge that? The bare metrics on global temperature change are indisputable. In my line of work we use Paleo data to extrapolate our statistics. We have so much more data than you can comprehend. It just takes a scientific approach to understand it. Learn it before you can judge it.
