If he's found not guilty I hope Reginald Denny stays in the basement.

A general question....
If you find yourself in an altercation (does not matter who provoked it), and you are being beaten badly & fear you may be mortally wounded, is it wrong to use the last means at your disposal to defend your life?
YES! But generally speaking you shouldnt start **** you cant finish. If you do I believe you have some responsibility for the outcome what ever that may be.
In the end self preservation takes over if your life is truley in danger
They didn't cover up, they just accepted the story George gave without investigating. Why this case wasn't fully investigated should be checked, but should Zimmerman go to trial because of this? Maybe, maybe not depending on the evidence.
He shot an unarmed kid. 911 told him to stay in his car, he got out of his car and persuade the kid and then all of a sudden he was afraid for his life?
Stay in your car and drive away...

Zimmerman was a paranoid guy, he had called 911 something like 80 times prior in the last year. I wonder how many times he called 911 over some bs? Random person taking a walk.
The community was a private gated community. Zimmerman was chosen by the people of the community to be part of their neighborhood watch of private property. Martin did not live in the private community, so he was a suspicious person walking around the private community.I'm saying he calls 911 about everything and everyone.
It's not against the law to walk through your neighborhood. There's no reason to call the cops on someone for walking through the neighborhood.
Even so, he called 911 and didn't listen to them. What's the point?
Zimmerman didn't have a weapon on him, he had to go back to his vehicle for it.

Remember this kid don't break ANY laws and he is now dead.
Even if he did punch Zimmerman, it appears that Zimmerman was the aggressor and the kid was defending himself.
Zimmerman didn't have a weapon on him, he had to go back to his vehicle for it. Meaning he was no longer in danger, he went back got his gun and basically hunted down Martin.
Neighborhood watch works great if properly organized. More than one person. Zimmerman was a one man "team".
He is a wannabe police officer that couldn't pass the psych evaluation to become a real one.

I was in Zimmerman's shoes once...I had a very similar experience 20 years ago and saw a kid walking around at night looking suspicious. I called police but I chose to not pursue and stayed at my location until police arrived. Police never found him but put little effort into doing so because the only reason to believe something was up was that I thought the kid looked suspicious. The next day an elderly man and his wife were found beat nearly to death in their home less than a block from where I saw this kid. He was caught and I was able to identify him as the same kids I had called police about. He was convicted of attempted murder and robbery, served 15 years and is now a free man. Both victims are now dead, but I was told the wife never recovered from the beating and lived the rest of her life in severe pain. I don't think I did the wrong thing, but I have spend 20 years wondering if I had done more if I could have stopped this crime. I did have a weapon in my vehicle, but would have had no problem man handling this kid without it and maybe I should have done so???
A secure neighborhood that he lived in.
