Gates 44C4553

Those are very good prices.
I'll have to check with the vendors. Hope they are the C belt.
Has anyone ordered from them and received the C belt? Internet offerings aren't always the correct parts.

TRS- Have you or do you know if anyone has run this belt on an edge chassis? I have three edge chassis sleds and an 11 pro so it would be nice if i can consolidate to one belt in the future.

I don't imagine any issues with the edge chassis but thought i would ask just in case.

Searched eBay for Gates 44C4553. $81.21 free shipping. It seemed inexpensive compared to what was being posted here and also for the range of prices I saw on eBay for the C belt. There was also no picture which had me a little nervous. theautopartsgiant is/was the seller. I gambled and ordered one. The belt showed up last week and it IS the C belt. Looking forward to trying it out next year.

got mine from discount fleet supply, it stated that it was the C belt so I will see, I'll post back once I receive them. $70.97each I got two, plus 10 buck shipping. I ordered last night got a tracking number about mid day today with fedex. someone earlier mentioned cost on those was like $68, props to the companys that make pennies on them and pass on the savings to the end users.

I don't know of anyone running them on an edge. They should be direct replacement though.

In stock at rockauto.com for $87 canadian, might give them a try instead of the 11115 belt. sick of paying $230 at the dealer for the polaris belt.

Here is what my Gates belt look like after this weekend. Total of 30 hours which is about the same as my Polaris. Hope they will warranty it like they said

I loved the new belt! My buddy commented that he thought I was mad at them because I just kept making pulls up the hill. The Poo belt would have faded for sure, the Gates C belt was very consistent and belt slip seemed non existent. It was 50+ and the snow was getting heavy in the afternoon.

I was able to get 700 miles out of my 115 before it pulled a cord, probably 60 hrs. I retired the 048 Cat belt to back up with 250 miles on it. We will see but so far I am impressed!

I received an answer from the rep that distribute Gates to Napa (Quebec, Canada). He told me he's sure it was an abusive use and not a defect. He said Gates won't warranty it at 95%. I told him to ship it to Gates to see what they have to say. I told him that they shouldn't advertise any warranty if their belt broke on stock sled.

It is a good belt. As good or better than stock but that warranty seems bull**** right now.

I'll keep you updated when i receive an answer from Gates.

By the way, i also asked the rep that if he doesn't want to warranty it, he could atleast give me a discount on another one. Didn't have that "power" to do that and only thing i could do was send it to Gates.

Thanks MH. Does this belt fit the Axys too? I may be going that direction next year depending on my bonus, lol!

Have FUN!

On a side note Gates already has an Axys version of this belt. 46C4387 Most likely will be the one I get for a spare for my Axys Pro RMK. It is a smidge wider (~.03") than the 177 AXYS Poo belt, but that is what the majority of the 2015 AXYS trail guys seem to be running.
