forty1thirty.com chromoly nytro chassis

Call me old school but if a sled looks like crap, you will feel like it runs like crap even if it runs good.

huh? lol

function over form...means it performs better than it looks. :P

if anything "new school" would be the, look at my cute sled phase thats been brought upon the industry for the last few years..

but everyone does their thing for a reason. if it works for you, stick with it. -no, this isn't meant to be a smart a$$ comment either.

if my 10$ venting job on my sled works as well as the 150-250 $ vent(s)...it works for me, gets the job done.
in the end, if it works, thats what counts.

but i'm also with you...for that $$$$$$$$$$ it better look sexy. :P i'm fine w/ cheap looking sub par, but 47k $ better be a helluva looker. and the tunnel does look trick..

I guess it also make a diffrence if a guy is selling this sled or just riding it. I say this cause not many people would pay that kind of money for something that looks like that, Would they???? Maybe they would?? I know all my friend's would say you paid "how much?" are you ***gin knutz!!!!

That is definitely a LOOKER! WOW

See, I was thinking you'd be riding the HEAVY Yami and showing the rest of the world that they are full of crap when they say these things are to heavy to do anything. lol Shoulda known better.

Hope to see that bugger on the snow this winter! :D

maybe the pics aren't doing it justice on here. everyone who has seen it in person has been saying nothing but good things about it. carbon fiber nose cone, carbon fiber tunnel insert , rmi direct drive, eazy ryde rear skid, fox evol front shocks, alpine front mount turbo, chromoly a arms and spindles. Each to there own i guess , maybe it needs fancier side panels im sure that would make the sled go even higher .

Sled came in at 450lbs dry . After i put race rails , c and a pro skis , race shocks and a beefy battery that was a pound heavier than stock it ended up being 465lbs dry. I'll hang it on the scale when it has a full tank of gas and coolant to see what the wet weight is . This sucker is strong and light with a sweet suspension. Cant wait to try it out.

I was talking to Cody Borchers yesterday and he said you were riding a Nyto this year!!

Bad A$$...Bro

Are their a few of these made? Talken to Berrecloth and he said he was riding one also this year?

I dont know what more a guy could ask for in a sled! Super lightweight, lots of ponies, and looks mean. That is one sweet ride. Hope to see her in action this winter. :beer;

I agree kind of. BUT a sled can look good and still out climb anything out there just look at all the sleds in the Boost series. I also have a powder coated sled that looks good to me and that is all that matters to me. If it get's rolled and scratched up, so be it.Rubin's racing!!!!! That just means I get to tinker out in the garage again. That's where i'd rather be anyway's. I enjoy the build just as much as i do the ride, After all isn't that what sledin is all about? Great friends and comrodery,great climbs!! And memories that last a life time.Cheers!!:beer;:beer;

You bet man! No better sport on earth. :beer;:beer;

I love it, but I'm a function over form guy. I would really like to see some pics without the plastic on it.

that sled looks like it should rock .I had the chance to see rob ride last year a few times and cant imagin what he's going to be able to do with a sled like that . 4 stokes doing huge drops right after insane climbs? :eek:

wow thats more than a diamond s ti chassis,but this thing looks allot stronger, dosnt look like it has many stock parts though.:beer;:beer;

Well not that Scott doesn't make a nice tunnel(i like it) but its still the same nytro. This is a completely different sled I.e handling, ride position, weight, strength (Big one) and he says there maybe a 5 year warrant (not 100% on this yet) on the chassis (bending, cracking) it also uses a gear drive (NO more chains:cool:)

Think about the cost of R and D on all of this + the item itself and the time it takes to build it:eek:

I've seen this monster at the show and spent some quality time looking at this and saw some kind of roll cage on the side pannels and these panels let you move like right beside the secondary clutch,Way cool it's about time someone built a " super sled" like this, I'm tired of dumping 40 to 50K on my stock sled to make it look good and climb higher and still be weak,crappy handling and heavy, which IMO all I've paid for is a "Frankenstein".I've seen the light my nytro is for sale I'll BE ordering mine ASAP.Love to see more pics of it.
Peace

i'll post some better pics of the sled when i get em. i'll take some shots with better lighting and i'll take the side panels off so that you can see whats going on underneath . I didn't have much of a chance to take any good shots of it , and now alpine has it for the turbo install. Im not going to rave about this sled all i can say is that there wont be any need to once people see it in action it ill speak for itself. Ya bear claw is running a similiar version of the chassis this year also. Brandy hopefully i can meet up with you for ride this year also.

cheers

rob

Your sled fricken rocks! Lots of potential to build cool stuff when you dump those cast aluminum side plates.

Very nice build with a lot of cool trick stuff. Gear drive, full tube chassis.... Very sweet indeed!

Rear shock on the seat is a nice touch too. I have ridden a sled that had one. It actually worked really good at taking the small chatter out of the sled.... never hit big bumps with it though..

I really like the looks of it too... looks mean and down to business!

very sick build... very.. so mr.alford has anyone had this beast out for a whip or two? what could it be like to whip a 450lb 250hp(approx) sled around? geeze only if that g dam lotto works out for me

I can see paying for the parts and his shop time to build it,especially when all the parts are there when he needs them for the build. But you can't expect all the people buying these sleds to pay for the R&D that goes with it. No wonder it cost that much. Now you are paying 47 Thousand for a sled that should cost 15-20.plus a turbo later. The cost of R&D should be on the builder period. Not the buyer. Keep the price down and you'll sell more of them and make more money in the long run anyways!!!! JMO and ya I do like the idea of the sled, just hate seeing people throw endless amounts of money away.
