Yeah, they're light but Doo is stinging their customers again.

What could have been the best mountain sled so far
, is a great disapointment. I've been watching the Doo site every day, not to gloat, but I realy thought I might have to jump ship and get the XP. After all it's just what I've been asking for, but not now. I'll stick with what I have or get another Cat. I don't think there have ever been a higher rate of failures in any sled.

I know its wrong to take pleasure in somebody elses mishaps, but for crying out loud, these XP's were talked up on this forum, and through ski don't (did you see that stupid video) like they were Gods gift to mankind. I'm sure BRP will get them up and running (just like they did for 07, and just like they took care of me when I bought a brand new seadoo 800 in 95 and was told to bend over after it puched a hole in the block). So far it seems the M8 can't be beat right out of the box.

at washingtons snowshow they had a big demo setup, with company speakers, you could sit down and they would tell how great they will be, well it worked and now everyone is paying for it!!!!! good thing I still have my M7

its called first year bugs! and im sure they will all be worked out soon. its funny how all you guys call it a pos, the only stock sled to beat mine was a well set up m1000! m7-m8 not even close! and belts and handwarmers issues, well if thats all it takes to make it a pos, your not trying hard enough!

I almost bought an XP but decided to wait a year and see how it held up. That was a great move. I seen two towed out yesterday while i was enjoying the M1000. (What a Sled):D

I've never seen an xp beat a M7 or M8 they don't go any better than 06 rev. We have some in our group every time they ride i'ts at least two belts, if they take it easy. The xp is way over rated !!!!!!!!!!! They still use carbs and a chain case the same as a 1975 Panther. What technology are you paying for.

Just keep in mind that you might be the next victim of big 4 advertising. Don't laugh too loud. Any of us could get bit, and you have to admit that if ever there was a well baited hook, Skidoo did about as good a job as any. 99% of us walked away from the snow shows this year thinking about it, and I'll bet you all have a dvd that you re-watched to prove it!

I wish all the XP guys a little better luck (for those that need it). I wouldn't wish a bad year on anyone......because I have had a few ;)

don't you normally hang out in the yammi forum:rolleyes::confused:

I was so close. I can see if I had been a real Doo guy, I would have bit.

As far as it's the first year bugs, that's what we were saying about the XRS last year. The bugs go on and on.
What is the best? Well I'm sure an XP is for the guy who gets all the bugs out. Good luck to him, I'm not going to be that guy. I'll ride just about anything else.

I feel bad that the XP is having the issues that it is.. However my 07 800R after the clutch updates RIPS !!!!!!! I would not trade it for anything right now. When BRP gets the XP's fixed....... and they will it will be untouchable as a bone stock sled.

well said I hate the fact that anyone is missing out on somthing they loved or that they have problems before during or after the ride

But it's not the first year. It is the first year for the chassis, not the motor. The problems with the motor are the same ones they had last year. They just didn't bother to fix em.

The chassis seems to be working great. That is the part I was really looking at. I will never own a Doo, just because of their attitude that once you buy it, your on your own.

Once the industry finds out if the chassis works they will begin to copy the parts they like and ignore the parts they don't. That is why I have been watching so closely. The chassis and how it was constructed will give you an idea of what the other builders will do soon.

whatever the problems are, they are small to me if they will warranty the belts, cause mine will walk all over any other sled on the hill---exept the turbo's.

i would have to agree. in the town i'm from we have both a doo and a poo dealer. i'm friends with both guys. the doo guys sold about 120 xp's this year, the poo guys only 12. now the poo numbers are down due to low production numbers, but that's not the point here. we have heard of some of the exact same problems with the dragons as with the xp's, but they don't get as much hype! why? because there are 10 X as many xp's as dragons, so you are going to have a higher number of problems. i wonder what the actual percentage of owners who are having problems with their xp's are, as opposed to just straight number of problems?
