All I can think of is American Pie, you aren't doing obscene things with these pie's are you????:D:D

You might want to give the box idea a try. I'll bet the dogs are no where to be found after they open your packages for you, are they?

But I'd have to drive 300 miles to get there,,,,Better be good.;)

People have driven further. ;)

Serious question...I've always wanted to start up a pie shop. I'm not sold on the retail aspect of it, and would rather sell to other local businesses (coffee shops, cafes, etc.) and do holiday mail orders.

I've done some research and business models and know what my startup costs would be and I've estimated pricing based on not having to operate a storefront. Realizing that most of you are not my target market, what would YOU pay for a pie?

And remember...they're purty.

between $7-$12 for me at most

Here's where my packages get delivered:

On the front steps,
On the front steps in the rain,
By the garage door in the rain,
In the cab of the pickup,
In the bed of the pickup,
In the garage on the workbench,
In the garage on the floor,
On the back deck,
Wedged in the back storm door.

What's so fricking difficult about opening the front door after you knock and setting the package in the porch? Maybe it just seems that I'm the kind of guy that LIKES his expensive stuff sitting on the front step for two weeks while I'm on the road for work? Maybe I accidentally added a note to the shipping instructions that says I like my packages soaked with rain before delivery? I just don't order much stuff through the mail anymore.

On the subject of pie...
A pie as good looking as yours should command a pretty decent price. I don't make a habit of paying for pie, but I'd say $10 to $15 would be possible. Personally, I'd be more in the $8 to $10 range, but I'm a cheap*ss! I'm from the town where "Tastefully Simple" originates. They sell repackaged crap that you can buy anywhere for outlandishly high prices! If people are dumb enough to pay $8.00 for a little bag of Tastefully Simple bread dough mix, they should certainly pay $15.00 for a delicious homebaked pie!
