F-bomb track mod on the pro

Once again I just make this crap up here at home on my computer. It's not been actually tried or tested by anybody...........sigh

What a horribly sad state of affairs. I've sold over 2,000,000 US dollars worth of aftermarket sled parts all over the world, founded one of the most successful aftermarket specialty mountain parts products on the planet, won a couple zillion races, rep'd and built brand names for four or five major players in the sled industry, and I'm going to my grave known for trimming a stupid track! WTF?

stupid snowmobiles.........................
We just figured that you were reping for camoplast now that your retired and wanted everybody to f*** up there track so they had to buy another one

Did this to my 07 and loved the results. I just picked up a 2012 Pro RMK 8, and put 150 miles on it so far. Holy track spin on the trail. I just came in from doing this mod to the sled. Heading to Togwotee this coming Friday. Thanks again Rob!:face-icon-small-hap

Just got back from a 70 mile day setting up for a fun run.Low snow conditions and alot of trail riding but all and all a good day.I got to try out my first turbo pro 163 sorry to say was not that impressed .In all fairness the snow was kind of rotten, next I rode a 09 dragon with the fix kit just installed sled pulled well, now I know how Bagger felt chasing me to get his pro back. From trail to powder dragon spun on hard pack had a hard time getting it to lift off bumbs but once it was in the powder it would hook up.Stock track 155.
I have let several of my rideing buds try out my assaualt each one came back and was very impressed on how well it perfomed on the trail no problem getting it to lift up and corner well than jump to the powder and went ever where that the 2 guys on 163 went.
This is the second sled I have trimmed the track on and it just flat out rips .I can testify that a PA head,Hps can, clutch work and gearing along with the Robs track trick just works.
A big thanks to all for making outstanding products for our Pros and a special thanks to Rob for his dedication to our sport.

If you ride west side cascade concrete do it! It works great. If your snow or you ride the fluff occasionally I would NOT trim it. I rode Montana a week ago and was dissapointed and I am from western Washington.

I live in ak and riding in Montana is what pushed me over the edge to do it. I completely agree with not doing it if you ride that kind of snow. It is what the series 5.1 was designed for. I was kinda on the fence because we do get "fluf" up here, but our most epic powder days are what they get all the time (moisture content not depth/terrain). It made me realize how much different our snow really is and that I'm running the track in conditions it wasn't designed for. Im really lookin forward to trying it out (blew a motor, cut the track after the ka-boom).

Agreed.

We had nice fluff last year and I felt the uncut 5.1 worked awesome. This year is a different story - back to cascade concrete and the cut track works better. Anyone considering cutting tho should know this - you WILL need heavier clutch weights or you'll be bouncing off the limiter (I had to go 2 grams heavier). Your track speed will increase about 5 mph too.

Have FUN!
