Extras for '13 1100t?

I snowchecked a 13 turbo. I own and ride a big turbo apex and love it. Really wanted to give the new cat a try. Just wondering what people have been doing to their sleds for performance and also weight loss. Have read a few posts all ready but trying to decide which direction to go with this sled.

You will love how rides compared to your yamaha. I did the same thing last year. The clutching was off quite a bit. Staight pipe diffrent turbo out let pipe. Set my turbo to evolution to get there kit done to it. The power claw good up hill track sucks down hill.

I was thinking of switching out the power claw for Camo extreme, have had good luck on my apex. I live in Dillon so I'd be riding the same elev as you, what clutching did you do? Is the turbo pipe an aftermarket or homebuilt?

You will have a 2.75 track so that should be better than the other powerclaw.

I would start with these things in this order. Or just skip to number five.

1. Highflow Muffler(10-15hp, 10-14lbs lost)
2. MDS Clutch weights
3. 2.5 divorced downpipe(7-10 hp)
4. Evo 215 reflash or Hijacker or ezjacker
5. EVO Big Chute turbo

Chassis

1. New skis
2. New skis
3. Better bumper or skid plate.
4. Light Weight battery(12lbs lost)
5. Lightweight Hood
6. Remove triangle support at back of running board to keep snow build up down.

I thought the new track was 2.6? And we all know the old pc 2.25 was really only 2, so the 2.6 is probably more like 2.4, so IMO money well spent on the new 3 extreme or the 2.5 extreme.

I am sorry yeah your right. If you measure the old PC to a camo extreme 2.5 the extreme measures more like 2.75 The new track may be worth keeping. Chassis wise skis are a must. Weight wise a new battery is a must. Powerwise, there are starting to be alot of options.

I ordered a set of powder pros for it, skins boards, skid plates, skins bumper, vent kit. Getting a can, though I haven't decided which, or straight pipe. Who's making the 2.5 divorced turbo pipe? I have been leaning towards the EVO reflash but wonder if I should wait till I do a turbo kit? As far as the track I have a 3" c.e. on my apex and have had good luck with it

Alot of companies making a 2.5 divorced downpipe.

Evo Powersports
Sandale Fabrication(canada)
Turbo Dynamics
Bikeman
Speedwerx

That is to name a few.

The exhaust components will compliment any remap well. And are nessecary for the Evo BC kit. So they are a great place to start. If your coming off a 250+ hp Apex I think you would be actually pretty happy with the 215 evo remap. If your coming off a 300+ hp apex You may just wanna do the 250 pump or 275 avgas big chute turbo right away.

d&d exhaust and clutch was a bikeman clutch kit . Had to go with weight in the primary but the weights are adjustable . Ya the stock skis are junk. Put powder pros on mine.

Coming off 300+hp so was looking at the 275 kit.

I am running the BMP turbo outlet, muffler and boost tubes. 9 piece vent kit and Powder Pro's. Very Very happy has amazing power for no turbo upgrade or flash.
needs some clutching just havent desided what to do yet.

What to do

Just got a call that my 2013 is in- so please expand on what the divorce pipe is and what it does.. this is my first turbo so be kind.
Looking at the D&D pipe but confusing on the way it appears to have 2 in
SC

A divorced downpipe is just the pipe coming off the turbo. Part of why it makes more power over the stock one is that it separates flow from the turbine wheel and the wastegate and brings them together further down the downpipe. Second is that the diameter is larger allowing more flow. A good downpipe and muffler will bring 15-20hp.

That D&D pic I think is called the stealth or something like that. It just has a cut out to allow straight pipe or quiet in one can. In my opinion that it is alot of extra weight. If you want straight pipe loud put a straight pipe on if you want quiet leave it stock.

You might want to step up to the Super chute kit with more flow, better response, more power at the same boost, and more boost earlier in the rpm range. There are more than 2 hp level SC kits. A 250, 275, 290, and a 310 both on 100LL. 310 has upgraded fuel pump. Lots of choices for all budgets and needs.

So I can run a divorce pipe with the stock / or aftermarket can then eh?
Yes I agree with what you said about this D&D pic- but the can looks lighter than stock.
Thank you for the heads up I think I am starting to get the hang a bit...
Anything else I need to know- want to leave it mostly stock but don't mind adding what it needs to wake it up a tad, and loose weight.

I remember seeing- reading something about bad clamps I need to look out for or the orange aftermarket tubes I remember reading about on here.

Thanks

S/C

If you buy the EVO 215 reflash and then want to upgrade later to the big chute kit you will get a discount on the big chute reflash. The 215hp reflash runs very good, but the big chute is very impressive! I'm the western US Evolution Powersports distributor so if you have any questions let me know.
