there is enough to ride..but is pretty shallow still...about 12-16 inches at the road about 2 ft back at redfox and horsepasture(from a buddy running his trapline)
tks 4 the update looks like its pville for me then again
Spoke to the lodge on Wed. They said 15" at the lodge, not much new snow from the last storm, and it is best to stay on the trails. Sounds like a repeat of last year. Lots of snow at P-ville and not much at Eureka. Lots of winter left though.
Rode Eureka day after turkey day~
Stopped and ripped around on the way to work in tok~Snow at the Eureka lodge was 18in. Got into 2 feet of snow at higher elevation behind lodge, snow setting up nice, but not worth the commute to ride Eureka~need another 2-3 feet!

Any new info on Eureka, with this last storm hopefully enough snow to play in any on been out that way lately?

I drove through eureka yesterday and it was white out conditions~just getting pounded, but the snow was just starting, the road had 8 inches on it by sheep mountain and was still coming down! Any new snow in Eureka is a plus! Hopefully a couple fresh feet! I will call Eureka lodge and see how much snow they actually got in the last 24 hours later today~

yes, please keep us updated but keep in mind from past experience you have to cut whatever they report in half at least. they always way over estimate. but hey, here's to HOPE and a CHANGE from last year. all we have to do is believe and YES WE CAN ride there again. man, that sounds familiar, a little fruity but very very familiar...

Called the lodge a few minutes ago
She said she heard they got 8" in the last couple of days. So that means about 4" right Not much!

I have a friend who has a cabin up there and he said that there was about 6" of new snow as of last weekend - so that puts the snow at about 2 feet maybe a bit more but not much.
EUREKA NEEDS A LOT MORE SNOW!!! I hope it gets dumped on while I'm gone for the holidays!!
Spent Friday and Saturday riding at Lake Louise. Not a lot of snow. Maybe 16" to 18". Stopped by Eureka on the way back yesterday and about the same. Most of the tracks are dug down to the grass. Will wait for more snow before heading back. Was cold though.

Looked to be snowing South this morning so we tried Eureka today instead of Petersville. Unfortunatly it was a waste of time and diesel. More snow in Anchorage right now. Unloaded the sleds out of spite and hit the Super Bowl on the way home. It wasn't much better. Hopefully more snow will come soon.

Last night is snow hard for a couple hours and we got 6 to 8". It let up an is snowing lightly. 29 degrees and wet snow. Total snow about 2'. Getting better. Hoping for more snow. Let it dump. Oh and it rained all the way to sheep mt and the road turned pretty slick from there
