enumclaw ski-doo

Yes I know shops are bizzy. These completion dates were given to me by the service dept. It got irritating being told it will be done by this date and not getting done. Over and over and over again. Nobody likes being lied to. It's warranty work. Why not use it, that's what I paid for. If I was told there is a 5 week wait I would've gone a different route.

The main reason I posted this is maybe the right people will see this and go. Wow my business has kinda a bad reputation for bad customer service. Mmmmm. Maybe I should look into this and try to get things straightened out. If it were me and I seen lots of people unhappy with the services I provide It would be addressed immediately.

call i-90 motorsports. remko and tom understand that we only have so many days a year to play with our toys, thats why they have such a quick turnaround. and thats why i-90 was # 1 skidoo and seadoo dealer dealer in the region for 2011. keep up the good service. fassteddie.

I use I90 too. They have always taken care of me. I bought a Pro this year so I HAD to go to a new dealer and bought it at Clem's since they are close and right on the way to one of our riding areas. Nothing really bad has happened there but I have got the sense that the best it was ever going to be was when I gave them my deposit. Driving to Lynnwood is not going to be an option for me. Any place else closer to Auburn(home) or Bellevue(work) for Polaris parts and service you guys would recommend?

Sorry for your bad luck. Being in a shop for the last 12 years though I wouldn't be so quick to jump on the tech though, most cases they are last in line for making decisions or having anything to do with what goes on between the customer and the front counter. Not saying its not the case, just been in the spot where I was told to do other work and a service writer was trying to save his own a$$.

If anyone ever needs any work done, we can get all the OEM parts a dealer can along with aftermarkets stuff and we are just off I-90, exit 22.

I would also recommend Pierre's for your Polaris warranty and even though they are a drive Matt at Webb power sports does a great job of taking care of our Skidoo guys that need warranty work. Also Rooster built IMO is the only place I would take my Skidoo for clutch work and the guys at fastrax are always good to work with to.

X 2 on Pierre's service.

They treated me very well in January when I had electrical issues with my 08 D8 just 10 miles after having the 010 engine update done at another closer Polaris dealer.

Pierre's will get my future Polaris business.

Xtreme what are your hours?

Monday-Saturday 10-6pm. If we dont answer feel free to call a few times as we are usually in the back working. Also we do a lot of racing and product testing(that's what i tell the wife it is) so its always good to call and check to see if we will be here.

We should have our web site up here within a few weeks also showing when we are gone...

It's the owners fault for not bringing beer :face-icon-small-win

I think that I just picked up on a subtle hint, OK Paul I'll pick up a halfer on my way down, :face-icon-small-win see you at 2:30.

Hahahaha. I always take my sleds down to Roosterbuilt for clutch work and mods. It was warranty work so I took it to the closest dealer.

It seems when I do help stock a fridge chit gets done. Hmmmm. Good pattern.
My fridge is m/t. Maybe that's why they don't get worked on at home.

service is a joke. Took my 2011 etec in for warranty on hi-low lt switch and hand warmers on 10-6-11. I made an appointment and dropped it off on Thur's.I ordered a new set of bars to have them put on since they were bent and they had to warranty the faulty hand warmers. All parts were there wed and told it would be done Fri 10-14-11 NOPE. Randy was at brp school and didn't get to it so it'll be done Mon 10-17-11.. NOPE. He hasn't got a chance to look since he was still at brp school but it will be done on Fri 10-21-11...NOPE. Yeah the left warmer is shorted out but were testing the right one and haven't finished diagnosing it yet. We will have it finished on Mon 10-24-11.. NOPE. Wow this is really getting ridiculous. I call again on Fri and again hes working on it but hasn't finished it yet but it'll be done Fri 10-28-11..NOPE not yet but it will be done on Mon 10-31-11.. NOPE Now maybe you send him back to 2nd grade to read and look at pics to understand basic illustration. Well i was told again it will be done Fri the 4th.. Guess what? NOPE.

So i called again to go p/u my sled yesterday on 11-12-11 and was told Randy still hasn't finished it. You mean to tell me this Randy is the only guy there that can install hand warmers you have had my sled for 5 weeks on a 1hr job. Jeff the service guy says i don't want to do it cause i might screw something up. Let me see if i can find someone to get this done today. He calls back and says it'll be done by 4:30. There it is sitting out side so i go inside to pay for the bars and here's a bill for $242.38... They were going to try and charge me for the warmers and labor to install them. Then the parts counter guy(the mechanically inclined one) says i disagrees with the labor because they have to diagnose the wires on the hand warmers since there are 3 wires on some and 2 wires on others. Your phuging kidding me right. HEAY parts guy. 3 wires is rev 2 is xp. Then out comes another guy saying i need to pay the hi-lighted amount $242.38. ....I'm not paying it. That's warranty. Ya no what? Take the phuging bars off i'm taking my sled and not paying for warranty work, Problem solved. So they call Jeff and my bill drops to $89. and change for bars and glue. So he says lets go make sure everything is good on yur sled so i walk outside and there it is behind my truck and no one around. So i loaded it my self and left. I get home and let it run for a while and guess what???????????? The hand warmers still don't work.****K

This place is a joke. 5 weeks for approx 1hr work.

When I first saw this post yesterday I thought "You have got to be kidding me!!!! This is how things are being done in my service department?!?!!?" But before totally blowing a gasket and creating a s%$t storm in the shop I decided to look into it. First and foremost I will almost always defend a customer and do what it takes to make it right, however there are just some people out there who react out of emotion and can't be pleased. I just spoke with Jeff my service manager (who is generally very organized) and he pulled the original repair order on this. The repair order was created on 10-6-11 because of the 1200mi top end recall. (if you do not know about this contact Jeff in our service dept. 360-825-4502) On 10-20-11 Jeff called our customer to tell him to go ahead and bring it in for the grips and hi-lo switch and he can bring it back for the top end recall later (as the sled only has 809mi on it and needs to have at least 1200mi on it to perform the recall). On 10-27-11 all of our parts were here. On 11-7-11 Jeff called the customer with some questions for him about electrical issues. So with the timeline set straight and all the information on the table it took 6 days (assuming that we got answers on 11-7-11) to do the work not 5 weeks. When I spoke to Jeff the customer was in no big hurry to get it done so he had Randy tie up some big jobs that were backed up due to his BRP training week. The reason for a higher charge than expected on the grip warmer instead of warranty is because THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM, as we all know if there is nothing wrong the factory will not warranty it. The complaint was "intermittant heating". As far as them not working now I personally was out back when our tech was running the machine to test the warmers. I have also tested 3 other Ski-Doo XP's this morning none of them kick out much if any heat at idle, it is not until you hit 3800-4000 rpms that they heat(just like the sled in question) which makes perfect sense, since we need the engine turning to create more electrical current, besides most sleds clutches are set up to engage at about 4000rpm(I said about please don't flame me because yours engages at 3850 or 4200) with that being said you can't actively ride the sled unless the clutches are engaged. As far as Randy being at BRP class this is true he was back east the week of 10-24-11. Jeff decided to have randy work on this machine as he is the one who will be doing our top end recalls and he would get familiar with this sled. The 3 wire vs 2 wire thing we have seen it before and Ski-doo tells us to hook up the ones that make them work. Being masters of mass production Ski-Doo uses one element for both styles the old style (toggle) has a Hi position and a Low position hence needing 2 seperate wires for power the new ones (multi level adj. button) uses varying current to heat one power wire. When we dropped the bill we were extending goodwill and ate the extra charges ourselves as Ski-doo will not warranty a non failed part. I usually don't go off on here but it pisses me off that when someone uses the annonimity of a screen name to whine about stuff that is not true. As many of you out there know we have been here for 37 years and work to do what is right by the customer. At the end of the day a pissed off customer will not spend money and without all of our customers supporting us we would not be in business. I am sorry if I sound a little aggressive or rude but this industry is my life and my passion and I will not let false stories ruin what we work so hard to achieve. I am not going to be annonomys for those who do not know who I am on here I am Corey I can be reached at 360-825-4502 or coreytsuz@yahoo.com.

Nice to here the other side of the story-thanks Corey. That said--it sucks to have a sled down for any reason-especially warranty work that should have been taken care of before the sled was produced by a little more R&D, let alone having to pay for it.
There are always two sides to every story and often neither are 100% correct or right.

I don't ride a Doo (any more--I have and loved it) so this doesn't affect me.

corey it is nice to see that the OWNER is replying to this claim and not just a bunch of people who have had one bad experience. i have never been to your store but when i was shopping for a seld you guys were more than helpful trying to find me the right sled at the right price. i am a service manager at a dealership and i cant tell you how many people do the samething as what is going on here, and agian its cool to see the owner or whoever explain the other side of the story and isnt afriad to put themselves out there. as far as i-90? i dont know what people are talking about but from what EVERYONE i have talked to about where to buy and/or service their sled has told me that i-90 is a joke and a bumch of crooks! from my dad who has bought over 5 street bikes and WILL NEVER NEVER go back to i-90 or RIDE for that matter. i was just in ride this morning, no one was there to help (besides standing behind a counter and asking "whats up") even when i was crawling over sleds and opening them up, the salesman (all of them) were standing around and bsing about riding then when i was walking back down the staris one ask if he could help. i want everyone to know that im serious when i say the everyone i have talked to who either has sleds or street bikes say that i-90 is bad and they will never return. i bought my sled from lifestyles in mt veron and they were GREAT!!! greg the owner gave me a out-the-door price on my sled and beat everyone else by at least 2k and stood by it when me and my buddy went to pick them up. also corey your right no one should have to work on their sled when its covered under warranty, what some people dont know that factory warranty sometimes is a pain to deal with on the dealer side its not as fast as most people think, it takes sometimes weeks to get things approved and if you dont enter it right it gets denid.

I must correct myself.

I have done even more research on this issue. I have spoke to both Randy and Jeff and have a little more info. One of the handwarmers did in fact have a broken element. Randy had started this job and was waiting for the customer to let him know what he was experiencing exactly as we could not reproduce the "intermittant failure" Randy had Saturday the 12th off(first day off in weeks) Jeff was hesitant to let someone else come behind him and "button up" I will agree with this customer and say that almost anyone can install new grip warmers, however Randy was trying to take it above and beyond by checking all electrical possibilities as to why they may have intermittant failure. They worked perfectly normal Saturday, however if there is an underlying issue we were not able to reproduce or diagnose this because of the emergency to put it back together for the weekend. Who knows why it suddenly became urgent? My guess is the white stuff was hitting hard.

agree

lived in enumclaw my whole life, shop local cause its convenient and thats the only reason why, i snowmobile, dirtbike, rzr, so i have spent a gripload of money there, sales department is ok, tried to buy a new sled there last year, never got called back, had cash went elsewhere where i felt my money was wanted..

my biggest complaint has got to be the parts department, i can not think of but maybe one or two times that ive been in there and ive felt that some one wants to help me, seems that employees there play the hide and dodge game and pretend like they didnt see me , not sure anyone back there smiles or likes to make eye contact with customers , even when im the only one there and theres three or more people working the counter, ive shopped there for years, bought lots of stuff, will continue to buy stuff there only cause i live in town and its convenient..
i guess i just expect to be treated subpar when i go in that way i wont be dissapointed...lotsa local friends/riders feel the exact same way...

service have had one experience, was simular to person who started this thread, two recalls on ski doo. made appt, promised a couple days , turned out like being ten or something. just thank god it wasnt winter time..

good service is hard to come across nowadays, but you sure do recognize it and appreciate it when you get it...

sounds like theres a few other people on this thread that feel the same way bout enumclaw sky
