Eagle Valley (Sicamous) 12/13 Updates

hello Insanity; I am partial because my wife and I run the Best Western Sicamous Inn. We have an indoor pool and hot tub plus an outdoor hot tub. We have a large parking lot that is blocked off at night, drying room, current snow/groomming conditions and Tim Hortons is next door!

Joe Schmucks and the Eagle Valley Lodge also have hot tubs.

Maybe we'll see you!

I just wanted to say thank you to all the guys who helped me pull my wife's sled out of the ravine on Saturday afternoon at Blue Lake. Thanks again. If any of you are ever down in Whistler or Pemberton and want to go riding I'd happily show you around! Thanks again

Thank you Canada!

Just got back from a Sicamous trip and WOW! Awesome place to ride. My first trip to Canada and I have to say the Canadians are the nicest people I have ever met!

Thanks for sharing your great stuff! I cant wait to get back!

US people that go up there please help them stay awesome!

I might be up there this weekend. I like the idea of having a blocked off parking lot -too many thefts these days. Do you have vacancy? Do you give snowest member discount? :)

are you guys getting any new snow with this current weather system? We're getting dumped on in the sea-to-sky but it's warming up and will turn to shmoo by the weekend

This is a great place to stay! You can view your truck and sled on the security camera's.

Sunday Feb 10 ride!

I'm looking to tag along with any experienced sledders on Sunday the 10th. I'm down with most anything except the big drops. Love riding trees and some nice climbs, technical sidehilling etc.

Will be staying in Vernon, but would love to see some cool areas, either Sicamous or Enderby or whatever

Thanks!

Eagle Valley (Sicamous)Snowmobile Club Dinner/Auction Feb 16th

The Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club is having their annual Dinner and Auction and Dance on Saturaday night Feb. 16th in Sicamous. This fund raising auction includes house boat trips, sled parts, sledding gear and all sorts of items from area businesses.

There is also a ladies ride planned on Sunday, Feb. 17th.

Check out http://www.sledsicamous.com for ticket info and details

Spent Sunday afternoon on Queest Mountain. Vis was poor but we found 1 to 3 feet of untouched powder! Sorry - no pics with the lighting conditions. We unloaded at the bottom and only encountered a couple of bare patches. A couple of pick ups unloaded at 1.5k.

looking for people to ride with during the week

Anyone looking to ride owl or eagles during the week? i know the areas well and have a new machine. for me any skill level is fine, more important is that you ride a newer or reliable sled.

Looking for someone who knows the area.

There are two of us here from California --2008 M1000 and 2012 ProRMK.

We are staying in Salmon Arm but could travel wherever the snow is good.

We are here now and riding during the week and looking for POW. We aren't chute rippers or highmarkers (plus avy danger is described as extreme) but trees, powder, and boondocking is what we are all about.

Let me know.

Thanks,
Murph

Revy sounds sic right now so.... OwlsHead and/or Eagles Pass should be wicked good as well. But it isn't far to Revy either. Enjoy the snow! Ride safe!

What is the first 4 KM like at Eagles pass , can you still leave the main lot with out riding 4 Km of dirt/mud !!

Eagle Pass Parking: Trucks with large trailers can park at the 1.25k lot. Other trucks can park at the 4k or 3k lots. The plowed road has some sections with snow on the sides but there are some dirt sections. This is an active logging road 7 days per week so please work with the collectors to organize parking and do not block the road - loggers have big equipment to tow anything:face-icon-small-hap

Thanks sicamous , with this logging going on 7 days /week are the collectors there 7 days a week to organize the sled traffic or truck deck/truck trailer up the trail and what about coming out ??:face-icon-small-con

gunnethesnowman - there are two collectors in the mornings to help organize parking and coordinate log trucks. When you are coming out at the end of the day, if you meet a log truck (most of the time they are done by then), it will be empty so you shouldn't have a problem working around it.

Parking at the other hills:
Blue Lake: Still unloading at the bottom lot
Queest: Plowed to 2.5k lot
Owlhead: Large trailers are unloading at the bottom. Other trucks unloading at the first couple of switch backs (too much snow to get to the 2.5k lot)

Have a great weekend sledding!
