Drop Brackets geometry

I was looking for some advice on installing some drop brackets to my sled. i have a 04 800 summit with a extended chaincase, which drops my drivers about 1/2" down - 1/2" back.

I thought i read somewhere that whatever you drop the back you need to drop and set back the front half that, is that correct?

I was planning on going about 3/4" down and back with the front and dropping the back 1 1/2" while keeping the same center to center distance.

If you have any advise on proper geometry or suspension setups for this let me know.

Thanks

I would simply do both mounting points down and back 1/2" (to match relation to drivers) to keep stock skid geometry.

after looking at it last night, i think i will just drop the back the same as the front. Thanks

You should be good with your dimensions you want to change to. Any doubts, on a flat floor, run a stringline from bolt @ ski ( centerline) to fixed point at height you were at in rear. Measure from floor up to string @ front skid mounting bolt location . Now you have your baseline dimensions from floor vertical to mounting bolt centers.
If you want to drop out the rear to 1 1/2", see what you now measure from the floor up to stringline @ front skid mounting bolt again to see what you need.
