2013 is $10,149 MSRP for a 146" 600 etec. I'm calling BS on 8000 out the door.... Unless we are talking about a 2012, in which case it makes sense he would want to clear inventory for the new XM.

Thats true!! They are a throw away sled!!!! Keeps the economy going that way!!

pretty sure you cant get the ptec in the xm platform, snowmooo is just yanking everybodys chain:face-icon-small-hap

Jeez you Doo guys are sensitive. Did I say it was a throw away sled? No. I said the dealer will want to clear inventory to make way for the latest and greatest machines Doo has to offer.

It doesn't make any sense to sit on a sled all summer, it makes even less sense to sit on it all summer and then try to find any interested buyers next year when all the shiny new XMs are on the floor.

Doo lowered their prices a lot this year so you cant compare a 2013 doo to a 2012 poo. Compare the 2012's to the 2012's. The Canadian prices for the summit x 800 e tech last year were well over 15 grand plus tax and now the new xm 800 e tech is listed between 13 and 14.

I guess my 09 RMK didn't get that memo as it had about 4800 on the original engine, which ran great by-the-way, before I did a big bore on it last summer. :face-icon-small-hap

I guess the 10 700 Polaris RMK I was on last year didnt get the memo either as it burned down 3 times in less than 950 miles. Problem after problem. The guy I sold it to lost the motor on his first ride too....

What drives up the price of new sleds is all the people that have to have the latest greatest sled for whatever reason, usually for bragging rights. (just my opinion) If you build it, they will pay. (Field of Dreams reference there :))

My Doo always gets 20% better fuel economy than the Poo's I ride with. In 2 years and (how long I keep a sled) 40 rides/year using 30 litres/ride = 1200 litres/year x 2 years = 2400 litres at $1.35/litre = $3240 and the Poo will be 20% more

= $648 more to ride a Poo, in fuel alone

And my numbers are conservative.

And my kid on his RMK 700 uses about double what I use cause he is throttle happy.

Sounds like me compared to my dad when I ride with him haha But I normally have an extra 10-15miles from never stopping.

As far as the Poo Doo convo goes Poo is #1 again this year...sorry Snowmobiler, better luck next year! :whip:

talking with a gent that owns both poo and doo bought new in 12, his reply was they run fairly close after some poo clutching, also wished he could put the tra on the poo, thinks there could be a gain, doo skid needed some tlc

but then went on to say the poo after everyride needs tlc, from bad electrical plugs to motor mounts comming loose, then went on to say that the quality control of the doo is far superior, better engineered...

hes on this site and might chearp in to dupicate the statment

looking at the poo fourm the jugs seam to be a weak spot after 1500 miles, hope its not so, but there is a fair amount of failures
