Does the sled make the rider?

the funny part about trackpoucher is he talked all this smack about how "advanced" he is and his Bad a$$ XP.... takes 1 ride, gets whooped decides that a good sled like the xp is a POS (i rode one this weekend and was impressed!) and then thinks if he buys an M1000 he will as good as Mini me..... im surprised nobody on here has made a name for douchbags like this guy............... from my experience i have realized that there are only two types of people when i comes to sleddin..... guys or gals that have the instinct to throttle down and go for it when they first learn..... and others (like track poacher) who will never have the mentality to truly become a mountain rider and end up blaming thier shortcomings on thier $11k sled............just my .02

nmfh hahahahahaha

nmfh also btw...

NMFH that had to be hard to hold it in!
How was that?

My hat's off to the new Sherriff "poucher" that took some nuts
or more than likely you just did'nt know any better.
which is almost as good as having nuts but...
not

I gotta give TP credit.. He talks the talk and TRIES to walk the walk. Anyway glad to see he went AC and not Poo. You guys can have him!:)

well my camera did not want to work for me so i dont have many pics... sorry im a let down this time...
but the ride started with him being 30 minutes late cause he got stuck on the unplowed road with a 2 wheel drive pickup... sled was more than the truck im pretty sure.
then the ride consisted of tp getting stuck on flat ground about a hundred times lol (snow was waist deep and bottomless so you can decide whos at fault, weather or rider?) and then that xp blew a belt...
my m1000 ran sweet and i didnt get stuck once!
nmfh also btw...

FOR SALE, One XtraParts XPeriemental sled. This thing was a hunk of crap. I thought just maybe he MAY be a better rider so when he offered to ride my sled after we got the new belt on it I said sure, than he goes out and almost doubles my highmark with my own sled but was 1/2 as high as the M1000! You guys may have won the battle but when I get my new M1000 I will show you all who wins the war. Theres a new sheriff in town boys and he will be on a M1000!

I am sorry to say that nearly every word out of TPs mouth further proves that he has NFC (NO ____ing CLUE).

That said; Putting your money where your mouth is takes gumption (smart/dump or otherwise). Well done TP, now get that machine properly setup and ride the hell out of it this season and then just maybe you can do this ride all over again and not look like a horses a$$. But it is still not going to help you himark a M1000.

Good luck;)

^^^^^ exactly, my uncle with 20+ yrs of sledding experience was selling his 1085 mod for an XP after he rode the proto last spring (said it was that good) but according to ToiletPaper, its a POS? So to answer the original question - ..........no, apparently the sled does not make the rider.

I guess he didn't think his riding ability was as bad as everyone else did.
"than he goes out and almost doubles my highmark with my own sled" - I guess by my math this equates too: You were about 1/2 as good as him. So by what logic then, do you think that you will climb as high as him if you simply buy an M1000? Theory stands to reason that you will still only climb 1/2 as high becuz you are only 1/2 as good. Check your ego at the parking lot TP, you got schooled, no point in trying to save face by blaming it on the sled. *banging head on desk*
Go buy a Kitty Kat instead of the M1000 and let the big boys ride the big sleds.

How much money did they ride for, I'm up for it!!!

The better the rider, the more important the sled is. A great rider on an OK sled can't hit very many chutes or tough stuff. A great rider on a great sled will bring out the best in the rider.

Yeah, I've seen great riders on OK sleds, but the sled always holds them waaay back.

My brand spankin new shiney un setup still in the crate sled is so awesome.
It's faster then Freaks, climbs better then Krazy Kanadians, and floats
better then anything any of you have. And as soon as I pick it up from the dealer I'll prove it. I'am so confident because Skidoo themselfs calibrated it and I know it will be the best :rolleyes: !!!!!

you forgot to tell everyone that it only weighs 394 lbs and that you only paid 2500 for it!!!

Exactly, if you want a lighter sled get your arse in the gym and lose some weight, then add lightweight bushings, bearings and a ported chaincase!

This bowl of popcorn is empty and the beer is gone. (what I didn’t spit all over the place!) TP hats off to you for the entertainment of the week! P.S. Please take Idaho off your info your giving the rest of us a bad name.

You calling us fat? haha honestly, I just bought a 03 summit, I couldn't give 2 craps what my sled weights, i'm about 280 myself so a light sled won't help me! I just got a 151" to hold my big *** up better! Being 6'4" and 280 is a huge advantage though, you can just manhandle the sled, not to mention how easy you can drag it out when your stuck!

You should come to the snowies with us, I'll let you manhandle my sled out of 8' holes all day long, we had 2 250 LB guys and 2 180 LB guys and it took 1/2 an hour to dig a sled out this past weekend. I'll tow your a$$ behind me and you can come along for getting us unstuck. That would beat the chit out of doing it myself and I'm sure I wouldn't be sore the next day like I was.

I would think a lighter sled would be great for a guy that weighs 280. Since you can't lose weight make your sled do it!! Can someone say "FAT GUY IN A LITTLE SUIT"

:D :D :D :D :D

Does the sled make the rider?

it used to be
76% rider
24% sled

In this age and day
1% rider (someone gotta use the throttle!!!!)
99% sled

and himarks are made by 101% stupid

Himark the krazy canadian and tell me thats not the most stupid thing you have ever done!! Thats if you live to tell the tale!

going_vertical.jpg

I'm sure TP has achived well over the 101% so please no one show what a hairblower can do to a sled!!!

I like reading threads like this so lets keep him alive!!!!! Humor goes higher than any sled!!!!!!

LMFAO

Cause I don't care who you are!!!!!!!! thats some funny sh*t there....
Keep it coming TP....

This is true I have a 1150 cutler in a 04 cat just point it grab yourself a handfull. I have a regular 04 KC and now that I think about it I was out climbing the 07 revs but one of the revs seemed to do quit well that was definitly rider he way surpassed my Saturday skills this year bought an 08 XP not because I didn't like Cat just wanted a new Chassis.

I go out on Sat and just have fun maybe fall off a couple of times get stuck 1/2 time I hope and on sun lick my wounds become a couch potato.

You know when I get highmarked and it always happens not on the 1150 it still beats a good day at work.
