Does the sled make the rider?

Sounds about right, guy I brought a sled from today went to revy 2 weeks ago and out of 4 new xp's there ALL of them went though a belt, and one tank blew up, his Apex had no issues Funny though how he's all nice now after the ride.....

I have been riding since 1970 and that don't make me an advance rider. I just like to go out and ride. It don't matter what other sleds I am riding with. I remember in the early days we would try the deep snow and spend the rest of the day digging out. Did it make me an advance rider,NO it made me a smarter rider. So just go out and enjoy your new sled.

but the ride started with him being 30 minutes late cause he got stuck on the unplowed road with a 2 wheel drive pickup... sled was more than the truck im pretty sure.
then the ride consisted of tp getting stuck on flat ground about a hundred times lol (snow was waist deep and bottomless so you can decide whos at fault, weather or rider?) and then that xp blew a belt...
my m1000 ran sweet and i didnt get stuck once!

Well I just got back and thought I would let all you guys know the Minie me is a super nice guy to ride with and really knows his way around. I would say his riding skills are almost as advanced as mine so we had a great time. Thanks for showing me around AJ

I thought just maybe he MAY be a better rider so when he offered to ride my sled after we got the new belt on it I said sure, than he goes out and almost doubles my highmark with my own sled but was 1/2 as high as the M1000! You guys may have won the battle but when I get my new M1000 I will show you all who wins the war. Theres a new sheriff in town boys and he will be on a M1000!

Ya know,....(1)A good coat of wax is always better than a proper clutch setup, What brand of wax did you use? That could be one of your problems
Also (2)how many times a night did you go in your garage and start it before you actually rode it? I heard there was a certain limit, You might have exceeded it.
But there is the possibility(3) your "pretty advanced skills" out rode the belt itself.

But I think I'm gonna have to go with........#1

Does the Sled make the rider? Well it can definately help, But I think "Poucher" may have proven that even with an awesome sled like an XP, Miracles aren't guaranteed

I sure as hell don't consider myself with advanced riding skills since you really can't define that anyways, but I know I cant just go hop on someone elses sled and himark as high as I did on my own. I would bet that if poucher hopped on minies m1000 he would have been lower then he did on his xp.
P.S. Minie Me- Not taking anything away from you or your sled. Obviously it seems you were a better rider and i can tell by looking at your sled that it works.
