You guys are so funny. Your kids are brainwashed by the state everyday at school, and its by their teachers, not Obama. The state tells you what your childran will hear at SCHOOL EVERYDAY. Thats why home school is so good. Then you can brainwash your own kids, instead of the government. Thats also why i skipped school, and dont like college, because i wanna brainwash myself, not the state.

End the war on terror..... yeah, that sounds like a magnificent idea!!! I hate the fact that my brother, neighbor, friends are fighting or will be fighting over there again in the very near future and pray every day for their safe return while doing their part to help keep this country safe. But, if you think we can just sit back and wait for another 9/11 to happen and deal with it on our own turf then that just gives the terrorists more time, money and property to gather themselves and plan another attack in the US or other "organized" countries. Going after these zipperheads (watched Gran Torino over the weekend) on their own turf and disrupting their normal day of how to kill America is working, they've thwarted several terrorist attacks around the world and caught several of the top command in Al Qaeda and Taliban and I'm confident we will soon take down Bin Laden. I would really like to see more countries having the footprint we do in the Middle East though, I think we are about stretched to the max and don't like that, we could sure use some help....

Unless you subscribe to the notion that the US Government is responsible for 9/11??? How can an American suggest we end the war on terror?? You would feel a whole lot different if it was your family in the Towers that morning.

Then again, I guess that's why Obama is in office.... He promised to do most of those things, just too bad he doesn't know how to do it. Throwing Trillions of dollars at "change" is only going to cost us in the long run, once inflation catches up with this economy...... Taxes WILL have to go up to pay for all this, or has someone announced another way this reckless spending is going to be paid for??? He might be able to raise the deficit to 10 Trillion $$ during his reign and not raise taxes, but what is the next guy going to be stuck with???

Guantanamo Bay is a classic example of how this President works, act on a plan first and then come up with a plan after the act. Just doesn't work that way.

By the way, my kids did go to school today, but it doesn't sound like they will be watching any TV. The public spoke their view on this and school districts around the nation were busy answering the phones about this whole deal, and because of that, the format was changed to something the American people would be more likely to accept.

I cant believe there are people still this ignorant to why we should end the WAR. First of all, Iraq, and Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9/11. It was a group of like 10 guys. You cant invade two countries because of the action of a very small percentage of people. The majority of people in these countries do not want to commit terrorist acts like 911. There are tons of innocent people dying in those countries due to the actions of 10 people. Our governments fawked up foriegn policies is what caused 911. Bin Laden and Al Queda were trained by the CIA. This has nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan.

Also the fact that we are at war in Iraq, and Afghanistan, in no way imaginable can prevent another 911 from happening. Are you really that stupid? Anyone could hijack a plane tomorrow and fly it into another building. How does our army being in Iraq, make us safer from an attack. Being in the Middle East is just making it easier for them to kill Americans, and giving them a good reason too. Shouldnt our Army be here to protect us, and help us in case of another attack. Shouldnt we be saving our money on bombs, and using it to fix the economy, or provide healthcare. Shouldnt we change our foreign policy, to help prevent attacks. At some point someone has to stop the cycle, or war will be prevalent for eternity.

The war is evil. And just an excuse to plunder for oil, and make the weapons manufactures rich by spending our tax money on weapons and soldiers.

Our school board wouldn't let the teachers show the speech to us but my American History teacher took a vote to see how many people would have watch it. If we had watched the speech we would've gotten out of a test. The majority of the class voted against it. YAY!!!!!!!!!!! There are some sane left out there.
