1200IQ is done and runs

Except for a powerjet, regulator, and gasket, this one is DONE!
Thanks to 1200psi Brad and 4Z Lynn for answering the questions and hooking me up with some sano parts:beer;
Let the tuning begin.

I've read about a few guys that have had their Pro-X and Edge chassis bulkheads crack with these motors. Is it just from jumping or is it from the power of the motor? Does gusseting or reinforcing the bulkhead fix it or is it just a band-aid? Any problems with the IQ bulkheads cracking w/ the 1200 motors?

Jim! I must say you have done yourself quite well. Super job!

Thanks guys, it wouldn't have happened without this thread. It took me two years to pull the trigger and a few months to fit it but I'm glad it's in the IQ now.
MOB, there are a lot of thing I'd like to buy from Brad.:D

Are you guys running the stock polaris belts or like the sticky ultimax?
Also do you preload the rear torque stop mount or run it so it just touches the case?

Jim,
Great to see that completed. Has a great home.
That is still on my wish list. H20 craft in an Iq mnt chassis like brads.

I ride 4000-9000 here in idaho Brad and Lynn are the guys to ask about the tuning. That is what I did.
Happy riding.

Anyone know the part number of the hose that goes between water pump and lower water rail? Or what brand, model of car that uses it?

Lynn would know but I used one off a MC from the bulkhead to tunnel cooler, works perfect and I had it laying around!

PWC motor/chassis fit question

Back in the old thread, I believe someone mentioned that the PWC motor can't be fit into the most recent version of the IQ chassis. Does anyone know if that is because the motor won't actually fit into the chassis or because there isn't enough room to fit the motor with triple pipes? Just wondering if the race IQ is the only option available that uses a newer chassis.

if your talking about the IQ RMK then no there isnt enough room in the motor compartment. The IQR, (440 racer) has enough room to fit the 1200 tripple in it. If your talking about the newest chassis (raw RMK like the dragon) then I have no idea.

this is the part number for the hose from the water pump to the water rail.
61002
good year part number

Yes, the "Raw" chassis is the one I was curious about. In looking at my Dragon, it "almost" seems like there could be room to fit the motor, though it would probably go from side panel to side panel. However, pipes are another story entirely. That is why I asked.

Just curious as to what kind of money a guy would be looking at to build one of these motors start to finish not including what your time is worth, just in parts.

Probably around $8,000. Lots of options though, assemble it yourself, porting, pipes, carbs ect. I built mine for about $6500 but I did alot of shopping around and parts leftover from other stuff and assembled it myself.

If you have time you can build one of these for VERY CHEAP!!!!!!!!!! I have about 6500 in my WHOLE SLED!!!!! 4500 or so in the motor itself. I have been collecting parts for almost two years though! It really helps knowing the right people.

BTW pipes are done on my prox, they look pretty good just a few things to button up and saturday should be its maiden voyage... FINALLLY! Ill get some pix of it finished and a report as to how it went sunday or so. gunna start out with 390 mains and work my way down (tcat rack carbs), 14* timing, 13.5:1, 67g weights, have a few primary springs im gunna try, red white or pink white cutler, 59-53 OD helix for a baseline, but im sure there are gunna be some changes!
