Sleeper, those are CS pipes that I was talking about and they came as raw stampings. When I got them back from Doug Ruth they looked like yours, I splashed some silver heat paint on them. (note, that paint works well, as good as any other heat paint. But looks like poop after a few rides once oil or dirt get on them.)
CS pipes work very, very well on these motors. Not a broad a power band as the Jaws, but very awesome peak power.
The IQ needs me to break it in for a season for you. Now I will not charge you for this service, just get the sled to me and I will give it back to in the summer with a solid WA set up in it!!!!!!!!

broken HRP Clutch

Well last weekend I broke my HRP primary again..... I called Brad and asked him if that was a warranty issue or if he had any parts, you what he told me, sorry neither, I am NOT going to make anymore parts for that thing, nor is it a warranty issue.. So this clutch is just worthless now.... he told me to try and buy another from someone for parts.... I am outraged.. He said he may make some parts in a few years if there is a demand.... what the fuc! am I.. I spent 1300 on that clutch and for him to just say sorry, cant and wont help you..... he did mention he has some complete clutches and wont sell them as parts.... makes me even more pissed. I broke the outer cage that has the 3-4 slots. it broke on out and then slit the last one that bolts to the cover.. he told me to just break the other one out on the opposite side and it would be balanced... guess it you have a goood clutch you better get rid of it before it breaks and isnt worth ****.....

1 sleeper Looks like you changed chassis on the motor.
Is it on the snow? Looks great.
Hope things were smooth.

As for the HRP I went through 3 spiders and mucho dinero trying to get it to work. Brad at HRP was very helpful at first even sent a free spider once but with my last break just said you are on your own.
I do have one of these sitting with maybe some parts but the spider and outer case are cracked.
I bought a P 85 balanced it and never looked back.
Was cheap reliable and available from any dealer.

Miss my H2o craft
Seeing those pipes=bad memories.

JohnO, yeah, everything went smooth and sorry I had to post that proof of your mishap. I decided to change chassis because my edge all ready had a triple and rather than try to part it out I just sold the whole package and started fresh. Then why not an IQ. Thanks to Lynn, Brad, and you I am almost there. A pinched o-ring caused a small coolant leak in the head but other than that it sounds pretty mean. While I got you, what elevation did you ride? I'm hearing the 7-2xl needles might be too lean. What's your take.
Thanks,
Jim

You would do that for me? That's awesome and thanks Lynn, maybe if we were closer and I wasn't a flatlander ;)

It might be worth your time money and effort for him to give it the washington once over for ya, every once in a while lynn knows what he's talking about believe it or not!!

BTW guys got started on the pipes last night, have the mag and center done and just got the PTO pipe started, if all goes well should have it fit tonight then another day for the silencers! so far so good!

Wow you work fast. It took me about a week to fit mine, but it was my first set of pipes I have fit. I would do mine different if I could do them over again. Post some pics when your done.:beer;

The guy thats helping me has done a few sets before (first prox 1200 though), that pto pipe is a pita! The first two were cake, I hope we get the pto done tonight! Plus he is a union sheet metal worker and HVAC tech and love to do custom copper, stainless, galv, things and we have a cool idea for the finish on the pipes!

remember the old "factory pipe" and "DG" raw metal welded look? :face-icon-small-coo

Yeah, too bad on the quad cam. Sure worked well racing but couldn't hold up to the power, low gearing and load that we put on them in the hills. They worked very well on flatland drag racing. Captured more power from these motors than the P85 can, but I never tried heel clickers. I bet they would very well in a p85. Someone needs to go there!!!

Brad made some updated tower sections. He made them with three slots. I lost all of the vents on my old one. Balanced fine but didn't like it.
On the spider, he sent me a cryo treated one. Sold the clutch and now back to a P85, "till death do us part."

A friend of mine bought Brad's(1200psi) 1200 IQ, so yes, it's here in Norway now. Great sled.
He now has two of these 1200-monsters, since he had one in a Gen2 from before. But since the IQ was set up for higher altitudes when it arrived, and he wants everything to be right he put it on the dyno. (He has his own)
This was done today, so this is fresh info!! It's actually still hooked up:-)
This dyno is "honest" and is operated correctly. As a reference, the Nytro dynoed 129,9hp on this dyno and the 800xp 151hp, both as advertised. The xp needed a little tuning though.

As expected the IQ was way lean for our altitude at about 1500ft, and after raising the metering rods(7-2xl) and opening the powerjets max it was still lean, so dynorun was aborted early, with way to low bsfc!
So low it actually hurts performance, and causes deto at high rpm.(<0.55bsfc)
BUT it still made more than 250hp and 150tq!
So this thing has some power for sure!
The owner (of both the sled and the dyno) says he's sure it'll produce 260+ once it is tuned! ( need richer metering rod, or bored powerjet)

So these Power Addiction motors are done right!
Good on you Brad!

First pic is the IQ, the other is the gen2 1200.

Ottar, itj alt amerikaneran lage e møkker!! hehe

you guys are the **** i talked with ottar k i am glad you guys are happy with the sled will be curious to see what she makes my guess is 266hp when your done. Brad

What a day. I broke, digatron, wp belt, recoil rope (Fantom rope), front torque link bracket, drive belt, all within an hour. Put my crappy spare belt on and started it with my tow rope and made it back to the truck under its own power. Do I need to check the crank or clutch after grenading my belt?
