PM Mattymac, I think he has one for sale. Great guy to deal with. Or try Hidy, he has one in pieces that doesn't need much to finish, I think he'd sell.

Does anyone have a bored 40 carb rack for sale??? I found another problem with these crank shop 48s and am sick of messing with them.

I think it's the time of year to bring this thread back to the top,

Anyone doing any major work to there engines this year?

Who out there still runs the old iron?

Mine is currently at Indy specialties getting a crank rebalance and top end re- fresh.

Polarisrocks worked his magic on the carb rack and got them all tuned up,
triple set of crank shops are out for a shiny coat of ceramic, they should bring the bling!

I'm Looking fwd to pulling the throttle on the ol 1200, it's been a long summer!

Where are you getting your pipes ceramic coated? Somewhere in western Canada?

Yep, impact coatings in Edmonton,

I heard good things about them, when I called they seemed pretty knowledgeable especially when it came to ceramic coatings,

Always been a bit leery about ceramic (especially the shiny stuff) I've seen a lot of ceramic exhaust end up rusty and looking like crap,

impact assured me they would warranty any rusting or other issues with the coating. I guess we'll see.

alright the secret is out... I bought powder kegs skidoo vanamburg 1200. This sled was built by some of the best in the business!

I had 3 1200's and I cant ride em all at once! I did sell one motor this is a hill climb setup chassis (156 x 2.5 m10) my impulse apex has the mountains covered so Im gunna sell it if anyone is interested

ported ves 1200 (case and cyls)
14.5:1 billet mono UBR head (interchangeable domes)
crankshop pipes
triple rack 40mm carbs
vf reeds
ultra ignition

skidoo zx chassis
vanamburg boondock tunnel
m10 rear skid ti springs
floats up front
mesh hood
boss seat

very strong runner I changed out the 48mm lectrons for the racks and took some weight off the front with some subtle changes to the m10 since buying it but probably only ran about 3 tanks of fuel through it since ive owned it.

$4500 if anyone wants it!

As I sit on mine right now and read of all the people selling them it makes me wonder if I should too. Mine would read a little different though 20+ invested 2 miles tested. Never ran yet haha that's what I get for using all used junk parts!
I probably actually have 150 miles on it and its third rebuilt motor

Small update

Motor is back form Indy specialtys, Dan found a few issues with the crank, should help with the vibration, just have to bolt on the jewelry then she's ready to go back in.
