Did that just happen today Larry? Today was perfect around here, crowding 80 degrees f and bluebird skys. Just can't get over what a monster this thing is. I have never ridden anything with this kind of power before. Does like it's fuel I'm noticing.

Happened on saturday my sled is still in thereThge case was cracked so i ground it out a put the putty in there ,cylinder is fubar crank seems fine. I have another crank ,case ,mag housing so i may just build another one.Any way i grinding another cylinder to match the 2 good ones i have and going to get it out tomarrow.

Oh and there is a lot of weld and fish plate on that chassis i do have another one here for it though but it needs prepped maybe this summer.

Sorry to hear it went down on you, but if you fix it on the hill and ride it out I don't think it counts. :face-icon-small-win

Gosh darn it, the 1200 is done unless you think JB weld will work.

As you can see above it's done i'm going to sell all the parts that are left and will list it in the swap. I do have a new case and crank as well. It's over.

Mikuni 44s

Time to get the 1200 back out into the snow.
I've been running 44 Lectrons since it was buildt, but now I'm thinking of switching to roundslide mikuni 44s. Maybe machined to 46x48 or something like that.

Why? I feel they are easier to keep "stable" than the lectrons.
And I have a lot of tuning parts for them, and they are cheap as dirt!
I also took the ves-cylinders off in favour of non ves.
Less that can go wrong.

So I am ordering brand new carbs.

So I would appreciate someone with experience running them on the WC 1200 pointing me in the rigth direction jetting wise.

What jet needle and needle jet do you guys run?
Throttle valve? Air jet?
The main and pilot jet I can figure out, but if you have a tip all help is appreciated.

Running crankshops now if it matters, but I have a set of raw SLP pipes I will be fitting. With 32mm stingers.

Doug Ruth is the person to talk to on tuning the roundslides on the W/C.

Resolved

Yes, you're right Lynn, he gave me all the info I needed :-)

He ported the non ves cylinders that they are feeding, so he knew exactly how to set up the carbs.
I'm having the carbs taperbored as well.

Powerjets

Who sells the adjustable powerjets nowaday?

I'd rather have them, than the Mikuni ones on the roundslide carbs.

Never mind. Brad had them. :-)
