Any footage of these bad boys??

I'd like to see them run up the hill, and not just that clip of John Heston trying not to flip back over in Vertical Ascent. Cool enough, but somehow I dont think it give the machine enough credit...

I've got a little of some playin in hassler in low snow, but I had my camera stolen at the end of last winter so I lost all the really big pull video from kakwa from last year. Maybe have some from the wall in Kakwa after new years. Here's some playin from this year...

Just a little drag hill but oh well.

Flywheel

Cool video!
Anyone have an old style flywheel with Brads insert for sale?
I switched from an ultra ignition to an XCR and I guess I need an XCR flywheel/ignition. Any flywheel with the hub would be great as Brad doesn't make them anymore. Otherwise, he said I can send my Ultra in and he'll change it but I'll be down.
EDIT: I just snagged the flywhel/stator on Ebay for $90. Just need a hub.
Thanks guys,
Jim

1050 High Altitude Jetting

I just picked up a 1050. Non-VES cylinders, Ultra , SLP pipes- using 44 rounds and lookin to see if any one has 7000+ feet jetting recomendations.

I'm at:
30 PJ
AA-5 tube
7DH2 in 5
290 mains

It's reasonable in the bottom/mid but really really flat on top.

Wash is 1/4 "around the top" not just on transfers. I'm thinking about going down more........

The reason for the post is this is leaner most other guys are running from what i can tell. I started at 380's and it's much better now with the 290's.

Any other similar setups that you guys have working well?

Thanks,
Shawn

What is everyone running for powervalves. ARe you using the stainless steel upgrade or the stock alum ones. MBR46 dropped his mag alum one and the cylinder is all busted up.

does he need a cylinder?

I have a few layin around...pm me

No he just needs new nic and welding cause it cracked one of his ports. Millineum has it already. Yes the guitines, pre 05 they were all aluminum, then they tried titanium for a year as a upgrade then stainless for I think 05 on and a replacement part for pre 05. I remember changing out mine on my 04 pro xr8. I have all aluminum on mine and was wondering if it is worth the $60ea to replace them.

Being that we were all told we better change them out on the 800 twins because it was just a matter of time before then motor ate them I cant imagine why a watercraft triple that uses the same cylinders wouldnt need the updated ones. That being said I put on around 6,000 miles on a xc 800 with original valves without a problem. I always thought the valve breaking issue was related to alot of low speed operation where the valves were not open all the way and hanging in the heat.

Is there a case drain on these WC engines? I did not see an obvious one and I'm really flooded out from trailering from MT to MN.........

Also - anyone have a reccomendation on pipe to header sealer that works well I tried some Acousti-Seal that the auto place said was the best and it was the worst stuff I have ever used, it made a huge mess :(

on the intake side of the case there is 3 drains on the very bottom of the case it is under the reed cage on the very bottom to drain the motor..
