I need a quick answer

I have a 1200 with the 680 electronics my hand warmers were getting to hot and my buddy told me to dissconect them it would;nt hurt any thing. Now i notice my avenger will not turn on when i start the sled or stay on when domne manually. Also after plugging the warmers back in there not working. So i think i fried the regulater. Can i use any other regulater to get me by? like From a polaris Twin? Is it going to hurt running with it out?

I use the twin regulator, no problems so far.

680 ignition, has alot of stator wattage output. You need to soak up as much as possible. I have two voltage regulators and have no problems. BTW, they are both MC/ZR regulators wired in series. Better to have to much regulation than not enough! I dont run handwarmers, only a 4 window digi, and two small lights in the hood. NEVER A PROBLEM WHATSOEVER!

Just hook the same color wires together from each regulator into the wiring harness like it would be stock.

Polaris regulators don't do well if you have all your other electrical stuff unhooked, espescialy the headlight. Switch to the Cat regulators and it will cure a lot of your problems and they are a BUNCH cheaper also. As for your EGT's, just change the batteries and it will work just fine. The Avenger uses N-cell NiCad batteries that you can get from Interstate Batteries.

So where does a guy go to get a one-piece cylinder head for 85mm Pol pistons, and preferably 89 - no more than 91 octane heads?

Im not sellin anytime soon! Although I already have the 2s turbo, hopefully next winter ill have a 4stroke version! Powderlites/RB3

Most sellouts here are jumping on the turbo bandwagon, im just straddling both running boards!
