Demo rides?

The website for the snowmobileexpo.com, has removed Polaris offering demo rides :face-icon-small-sad. I don't know that I can snow check one with out more feedback than 10 guys riding them in marginal snow. Sad, but I might go with a skidoo t3, $800 less from my dealer and in a package that has been tried and liked by many. Come on POLARIS, give us demo rides!!!!

I would have liked to demo but do to the crappy snow it is what it is. I am still getting one but if I could have demoed I might have bought my wife one. She will stay on her t3 174 and we will have a golden ticket for the 17 if they are as cool as I think they are going to be. As far as the t3, it sounds like you haven't rode one of those and are taking somebody elses word for them. I assure you they are awesome. Don't know about the 154 or whether it is a trencher or not but irregardless the t3 is way better than the regular xm. You would be taking a chance on the new pro but it is lighter and has more power and a bigger track and it is narrower with less drag. Those four things are huge. I have air loc running boards and I know that is going to make a big difference. That is only half the puzzle with the 16. The whole chassis is raised up. This will make a huge difference. Guys are saying that it doesn't need a 36 inch kit which tells me they are way easier. I don't know if you have rode a pro with a 36 kit. As far as the 3 inch, they change the handling on a pro a little bit but it isn't something you can't deal with. They are a little harder to get on edge and take a little playfulness out but after I sold it the kid put a 36 kit on it and it was really fun. I guess what I am saying is I bet a 3 inch axys will handle better than a 2.4 pro. Burandt said they get out of the snow quicker than anything else he has ever rode and keith curtis told a guy my dealer knows that the difference between the pro and axys is like the difference between the dragon and the pro. I know haters will say they are sponsered but I have talked to burandt before about the pro other brands and he will say what he likes and dislikes. He knows what he is talking about and what works. He is not going to sit there and trash polaris, being sponsored, but he is not going to sit there and just lie either. His rep is on the line too. I believe they will glamourize things a little more than they are. I also called phatty, who has also rode it, and he told me it is the bomb. The only bad thing he had to say about it was the shocks. I have his old sled so I know there isn't a factory sled out there that is going to make him happy as far as the shocks go. If you like the pro I bet you will love the axys and if you liked the xm you will love the t3. Either way you will have a fun season. It is just about two different directions to get there.

good points terry

for what its worth my buddy was out riding burandt a few weeks back and
he said the new 800 ho feels like a carls 900 BB
i hope thats accurate i guess we'll see

wish there were demos to check out for sure

It's going to be sketchy at best at the expo. With no snow coming in and the way this week is supposed to be there will be even less in west. Talking to my boss after he got back from the dealer show he said there was very little to no chance of a demo. They will have them to view but thats about it. There are very few even made at the moment. Same goes for dealers receiving one early.

My dealer told me when I snowchecked today that he was going to get two 2016's for the showroom but polaris wouldn't let one of those be an RMK. I would think they would want people crawling around on them as much as possible before snowcheck is over

Thanks for the input. I haven't riden the T3. I rode a 12'xp and didn't like it. The width of the skidoo really does bother me. I tend to be more conservative and pulled the trigger on the 11' pro due to the positive vibes on demos and loved the sled. I didn't buy a new one this year as I was hoping to snow check a 2016. I want one, but frustrated at the lack of demo rides and the hefty price increase. I might try and ride a T3, no one really rents them and I called Weller's here in Utah and they don't have one to demo. I have loved my Pro.

I can't help you with demoing an axys, but give me a call. I can maybe arrange for you to get out on my T3. I'll PM you my number.
