I'm not worried about the driver's, it's the people in the stands who are not being paid several million a year to risk their lives, that could have been a bad one, looked just like Bobby Allison's Buick in 1987, the accident that brought us restrictor plates.

Wonder how much worse some of those crashes would have been if those air dam flaps that pop up weren't on those cars?
Those fans in the stands where Edwards hit the fence must have needed a change of under shorts.

What exactly does nascar do? Put bigger plates on? Then everyone would be complaining about how boring the racing is when they're crawling around the track (relatively speaking). Take the plates off? Let these guys run 230+ around here? The only way they can fix it is not to come to daytona/talladega, and that will never happen. Lots of headscratching to be done by the powers that be over this one.

Either way congrats to Brad Keselowski for his first cup win.

Nascar did the same thing to us in the Legends series. Made it so all of our cars had to run so close you could throw a 8x10 sheet over the entire feild at the finish. Running that close all the time soemthing was bound to happen and it did today
