Looking at going to Crooked Creek this winter. Any of you have any reviews on the place? good riding around there?

We would like to stay at Togwotee Mountain Lodge but a little bit spendy for a bunch of college kids!

Thanks!

We have the same questions... Haven't ridden this specific area around Crooked Creek, but would be great to hear about the area and the lodge.

Well if you don't like the crowds and want all the same services, give us a call 307-455-2815 and the ladies would be glad to answer any of your questions.

Checked into tog rates if you put 4 in a room it's $109 a night on the full winter package that includes lodging, meals, guide, happy hour..... Seems fair to me, just saying..

Go you will have fun

Highly recommended, went there last year and it is a great place. Way less crowded than TML. The owners are great people, originally from the southern Minnesota
area, he took us out riding the first day to show us the area. The staff was equally as great, more than willing to help with anything.

Crooked creek is my favorite place to go out of any other riding are! Great snow, accommodations, food, and people.. Oh and if you pile 4 people in a CABIN at crooked creek it's like $40 a night with plenty left over for food cheap drinks and gas in the sled. I would book it up before my buddies and I reserve all the space up there!

I'll second that!

how far is it from TML??
You can trail there for lunch, and ride back... Have a little time to play in the trail side meadows as you go. Unless you have someone in your group that knows the obscure back country routes. As for snow conditions & terrain, yes I'm partial to riding from TML.. Have ridden from CCGR & feel there is no comparison in terms of terrain & snow pack. Yes, there are some great spots, spots your not likely to find with out guys like Cameron & Brandon from 3C guiding! These two were born and raised in that country & it shows...

15 minutes?? same snow as tog??? I beg to differ...

Beg to differ then, I know what the area offers and where most those guys ride and yes I can get to some of those areas in 15min.... Not saying all of them but most those areas 60% of the riders don't have skill set to ride that terrain anyway so like stated by others if you want a bunch of no talent egos go to Tog, if you want a perfect experience from top to bottom go to Crooked Creek.

Ok...may I ask what areas, by name, you can get to that the 'togwotee lodge guys ride'???

Hell I cant even make it to the East side of Two oceans in 15 minutes from Tog lodge and that's about the furthest east I go. And I ride Togwotee pass 120 days a year!!

Impressive at 120 days a year, as for 15 minutes and being very specific the time frame is off by a little my bad didn't realize we were being so specific..

South side of Two oceans and lava mountain area are closest, ever ridden union peak area? Close to wilderness but not in it! Excellent spot catches a lot of big snows that come up from the south.
