I read a couple posts, then quit because I couldn't stomach it. I happen to be a Denver officer, and the story isn't even close to what happened. Did you know it took the employee weeks to tell this story? And no one's gun ever left a holster. Many of you have absolutely no idea of how the media jumps on law enforcement. This is because shock value sells stories. I myself have been on the recieving end of the media knowingly taking things out of context just to make a story. It sucks, it hurts, and it's hard on us and our families. You guys just have no idea.... Yes, there are some cops out there who don't deserve to wear the uniform. But until you've gone out and gotten shot at, spit on, punched, screamed at, and all of the other thankless things we go through, just shut your mouth. Or better yet, do a ride along. But you won't, you'll continue to think you have all the answers because that cop who pulled you over and wrote you a ticket was not nice. Good gosh this same old thing gets old! And you know what else, you're never going to believe this....Every call I go to, I try to exhaust all options before an arrest. And this is the majority of us. An arrest takes us off the street for a long time and is not always the best answer. Oh, and I don't do traffic and it's actually not enjoyable for me to piss people off. For those of you that appreciate police service, I thank you! And "I own you," you actually suprised the sh1t out of me on this one!!! Thanks
