good thing i don't have the legal authority to come to your house or pull you over and arrest you for something that *may* have happened or what i feel should have happened...

Exactly. Most of the time people that "hate" cops have been busted by cops. If you don't do illegal things, you don't have to worry about it. I've been busted many times for ILLEGAL things and I deserved everything I got. It's the cost of doing business. Some people get it, ignorant people don't.

Ok, this makes since. It sounds like you live in a bad dept. It happens. We had a whole county here that was corrupt, leadership was corrupt and they hire lackys under them who think like they do. In that limited area it would seem to a local that all cops are corrupt.

I assure you that outside of your little box are examples of what a dept should be.


We have a state trooper here with the little man complex, nearly every encounter he has with the public is leaving a scar on the whole of WSP.

When your city gets tired of the law being heavy handed they'll elect a new sheriff. Maybe they'll clean up the dept.

i would grant you that if my experience didn't cover multiple states and jurisdictions within those states

there's nothing i can do to change it, government has way too much power and there's no getting it back or under control, it's that simple, we're toast, we are no longer Citizens, we are subjects to the power

whatever the quantification is, number or percent, any bad cops is too many bad cops, and there is no mechanism to bust them

not just cops either, any government authoritarian; judges, DA, county assessor, school principals that expel & label students with permanent convictions for innocent actions

10 years later, last year, DNA evidence proved the dude innocent
it also came out that the DA had withheld significant evidence

the dude is free now, but got denied the chance to prosecute the former DA

the former DA is now a sitting judge

i forget what evidence was hidden, not the DNA matter
the DA pretty much knew he was putting the wrong guy in jail

the case against the DA/judge was tossed out by the DA in the next county, a Republican i used to have some respect for, no more
