Computer Guys - Can't change my home page

Well, still can't figure out why...I followed all the suggestions on here and it still goes back to the old site (I think Snowest wants me to be there really bad). Guess I'll live with it. Annoying though...that people like to create bugs and viruses...I guess they have to get their thrills somehow, but I don't get it. One too many a swirlie for too many dudes out there I guess.

Did you try clearing your cache and cookies?

A lot of it is more for "proof of concept" rather than actively destroying other people's stuff. There's a lot of laziness in corporate development, especially in operating systems.... a "That's good enough, let's ship it" mentality. They leave a lot of holes in the system and sometimes it takes more than afew emails to get companies to do something about their security flaws.

Unfortunately once the proof-of-concept is out, it usually isn't difficult to throw something together that will destroy a system.

You were told incorrectly. There are a lot of "anti-spyware" apps out there with similar names and some of them are not legit. These are the ones typically advertised in banners on some questionable sites.

Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware are two very reputable apps.

I will trust you on that one, there were options in Spybot that I liked

OntRider is correct. Having worked in the internet industry for 8 years now these two apps are the same ones we recommend to our customers for computer issues. Ease of use and both dependable if kept up to date and run on a regular basis (kinda like a sled, take care of it and ride it plenty and works great) :D

In regards to the Homepage issue. Try going into your internet options and clearing your cache, cookies, and history. Then close the browser (before you try to go to snowest) then open IE back up and try to go to snowest. Once there then try adding it as your homepage.
