His protest doesn't affect you, but you seem to have an opinion on it.Do you think what he is protesting is really affecting the protester?! Just asking..?

When fallen soldiers are brought home they're covered with the flag, under that flag we dont know if they are white or black nor do we care, we care that they have made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us and our freedom. So you pump the flag thing to make it sound like he's just a dick.
Yes and no. I doubt he's having many high-stakes run ins with the cops, however, I would be confident that a black man in the USA has experienced racism of some level several times during his life. Likely enough to see how this issue is a legit issue.Do you think what he is protesting is really affecting the protester?! Just asking..?
Fair enough thank you, for the honest answer. Also sorry to say this but Idcatman3 your just a unhappy di(k I feel bad for you I really do, But such is lifeYes and no. And the whole counter point is...
The method of protest is so distasteful that they have made matters worse, not better.
I am confident that everyone I know would LOVE to feel that all citizens are treated equally, but pissing off half the country is actually getting us further away from that goal.
Thing is....that "1/2 the country" is trying to take a secondary issue (anthem/flag respect) and make it the primary issue, simply because the primary issue (racial inequality - sometimes to dangerous levels) does not affect them, and they don't understand it. What you're seeing is "I don't care about this much, and it doesn't affect me....so I'm twisting it around to make it about something I DO care about."
If you want to get really simple....fixing the primary issue fixes both. Fixing the secondary issue...doesn't.
You say this isn't the appropriate way to approach the issue....but when other (perhaps more appropriate) methods haven't worked, or haven't worked well to date....it stands to reason that you will have people who feel strongly about the subject trying different approaches.
It's not fair for me to continue to debate with you when it's obvious that you just don't get it.
Yeah, I'm probably stupid for trying to promote dialogue when it's so slow around here.
But you know what would REALLY be stupid?
Being a moderator of a site, and discouraging activity when it's desperately needed.
You would need to be totally lacking of any brain function to do that.
Oh wait, I'm sorry, I just insulted you there, didn't I?
My bad.
You didn’t insult me at all. I wouldn’t call what you’re posting as encouraging. More polarizing.

I fully understand your point.
But like many, I'm not gonna get to the point of agreement with it.
I understand the perspective you're trying to defend. Just don't think it's worth defending. Like I said I'm cool with simply doing the math...fix the correct item and it fixes both. 2 for the price of 1 and both sides win...that's a deal if I ever heard one!!It's not fair for me to continue to debate with you when it's obvious that you just don't get it.
Was at a fourth of July parade some years ago,and of course there were people of all colors getting ready to enjoy the parade. Race of the people around the event never even crossed my mind. Until the parade started with the national guard marching up the street with the flag- everyone is standing ,silent with hands over hearts and hats in hand and a reverence is over the crowd, I started to scan over the scene and directly across the street was a minority group of people, some of them still sitting, some of them with hands in pockets and smug looks on their faces, some were snickering and laughing. Like I said race, color, religion, ethnicity, etc. never even crossed my mind that day until I seen that-and then of course I cursed under my breath( what some no good ,filthy, dirty ,bla bla bla's they are.)My point is this -10's of millions us get along and don't use race as a crutch ,hell it never even crosses our minds. .But there will always be those who will draw attention to themselves and their ethnicity by being disrespectful to the country that allows them to do it. And it didn't gain them anything.

That is a huge oversimplification.
What is the problem? We need to identify that first.
What will fix that problem?
How do we implement the solution?
Now one last thing I want to add.
Life isn't fair, the world isn't fair, and to think we can create a utopia of unicorns, rainbows and free blowjobs is naive.
Yea, yer right, they should all just step back and continue with the status quo and not try to change a thing. Everyone should just be a sheep like you. when the cops shoot one of them over the colour of their skin they should just accept it and bow down to the great leader.
What's the problem? Racism is rampant in murica and guys like you think it's all unicorns and rainbows to be a black man in today's society. What will fix that problem? Getting close minded sheep like you to accept that there is a problem. How to implement a solution? Exercising the first amendment right to peaceful protest is a good start. Too bad white middle murica is way more concerned when someone threatens their so called right to own a machine gun with a silencer and is too blind to see that they are the ones disrespecting the flag when they sh$t on others peacefully stating their opinion in the only way they can where you might actually listen
You look at MLK as something other than "anal leakage" because history has proven that he was correct. I'd be willing to bet that guys like you would have thought much worse of him or someone like rosa parks when they were rocking the boat back in the day.
