Colin Kaepernick - what a loser

So for someone of a different colour to want the same treatment as you already have/get is pixie dust eh?

Whether it be color, country of origin, religion, language, wealth or lack of or whatever....the point is that we are not all dealt the same cards in life. But if you look at those who have broken the cycle & become successful they have one thing in common. They have not played the victim card.

So standing up for equal treatment from, government, law enforcement, etc is "playing the victim card" ? He's not asking for a free lunch, he's asking that black dudes have an equal chance of NOT being shot by the cops and other no-brainer stuff like that. By the numbers, Kaepernick is "more successful" than everyone in this thread combined...and he still thinks there's serious issues here.

I have made the exact statement you just did, but the problem with it is we really DON'T know what it's like to be of a non-white race in north-am....being on the "winning team" since birth makes it impossible to relate. Basically take everything you've ever struggled with, add race on top and a bunch of problems stemming from it that me and you don't even realize happen/exist. It's in our face more and more now with social media, video/camera phones, etc. Some people it opens their eyes a bit more, and obviously some it doesn't.

My remark about MLK actually regarded him in the most positive light. and if you are too damned stupid to get that, you will never understand 90% anything else.

For the record, I know full well you understood it, you just constantly twist verbiage and repeat it.

I'm not saying you don't regard mlk in a positive light now, but I stand by my assertion that you would have thought him to be worse than your impression of kaepernick and others now had his protests taken place in this day and age. Whose twisting again?

He obviously didn't understand it, but that's exactly what my comment about MLK was attempting to say.

Nine pages.
Nine pages of what would appear to be an alternate script for Groundhog Day.
After nine pages of each of us repeating our points I think that it's clear that we pretty much agree on everything except the time of the protests.
And with that, I am fine with agreeing to disagree.

Just think of the poor bastard that reads all nine pages!
:face-icon-small-con

Almost as redundant as the media obsession with Stephan Paddock right now!

That's seriously your only reaction? Who are you thinking that's going to educate?

Gee, I don't know, maybe people that are unaware that different people react differently to people that a different?

What do you want me to say? That his shoes didn't match his shirt?

I would like you to look at your positions over the course of this thread, where you say "there's no problem as long as you treat the police with respect" and apply that to a situation like this where there was nothing but respect, and still one man was ordered to the ground, multiple police cars called, handcuffed, etc, and another man was bantered with for a minute and went on his way.

What would you call that?

Blatant racism

And also the officer came outta the SUV with gun drawn. He was a hiccup away from killing the guy. For nothing. Open carry being perfectly legal, there's no reason to get outta the rig with your gun drawn. This happens practically every day, and all too often the tax collector starts slinging lead, and gets away with it. Remember, there was never a crime to begin with. And the sissy with a tin badge gets away with it 94% of the time because "they feared for their life".
