I don't want to get into an illegals bash; they're here and we know why. Are not the rancher's rights being infringed upon; by the illegals, the governments lack of protection or both? Would this not be the same as a store keeper catching someone breaking into their store and holding them for authorities? I know this is rehtorical, but when did the absurd become the sublime?

Anyway I can totally undersatnd where the rancher is coming from, even if they weren't illegals. Anybody who is repeatedly tresspassing, vandalizing and stealing my property is going to have some consequences. It's when the government that is supposed to be protecting me from this crap does nothing so ordinary citizens have to pick up the slack. Then to allow a stupid lawsuit to continue on behalf of the criminals makes me wonder why there is any government in the first place.

Unfortunetly, the dems have courted the illigals for 4 years now.
They have promised amnesty, full citizenship and all the give aways that go with it.
As a result of that the illigals and their supporters are considered to be a major reason the dems are in total control.
The rancher is in trouble.
The criminals may very well win.

Heck they gave a drug runner millions of dollars and US citizenship because he was shot by boarder control agents while trying to bring drugs into the US. They said the civil rights of the drug dealer were violated. The drug dealer won.

Second of all, I agree, if the government can't get enough agents to protect the guy and he has to take matters into his own hands, so be it! He has the right to protect his property, especially after all that has happened to him! I completely agree, First of all they are not Citizens of the USA, so they have no civil rights recourse, the court should have tossed this suit out within seconds. Plus who is the attorney that took this case and filed it? They should be disbarred just for filing this.

We need tort reform in the worst way, plaintiffs should be charged for filings frivolous law suits.

According to Palosi and Reid, everyone single person on the planet is entitled to the same civil rights afforded to a US citizen.
Furthermore, the dems don't want any US citizen enforcing their rights to protect their land or their families.

The dems are afraid of an armed backlash.
Gun sales in the US have gone thru the roof since Obama's election.
Ammo is going out the door so fast a lot of places can't get it in fast enough to meet demand.
According to a fed officer I know they have recieved instructions on what to do if an armed uprising should happen. Furthermore, there are already plans for calling up the military to put down an armed uprising.
No, I am not kidding. Obama and the dems are truly afraid of the rednecks taking a stand.

If anyone thinks they won't make an example out of the rancher as a way to show people what will happen if they get involved, think again.

We as citizens do retain the right to remove the current government if we see fit. However...and it is a BIG however, the powers that be would have to let that happen. I would be willing to bet that even with a mass uprising the government would be reluctant to change.

This man deserves better from our legal system. If a "person" is trespassing then the landowner has EVERY right to call authorities to have them removed. It sounds like that is what he did, and simply had a gun with him in the chance that they were packing since they ARE criminals. If he scared them...then so be it. The fact of the matter is that they are here Illegally, and not only tresspassed on his land, but on US soil. When the government decides who we allow on our personal property then this country is no longer free.

Are you kidding me? I don't even know how to respond to this article. Wow, is about all I can say. I have re-read this article 4 times thinking I was missing something. How in the world can an illegal alien have more rights than a citizen, especially a land owner? Have we changed the meaning of "illegal" and I missed it? Or the meaning of "trespass"? What the hell is goin on here? Can you imagine what they would do to him if he would of shot one of them? This just blows my mind.

Just think what would happen if 12,000 of us went on Ted Turners land, trashing and vandalizing it? We would all be punished to the full extent of the law.

Did you know that if you are an illigal alien or a green card carrying legal alien you can apply for and get SS, medicaid and medicare?
As an american you have to pay into SS for 40 quarters (10 years) before you become eligible. So yes, they have more rights than you or me.

No they do not have civil rights, they cannot vote in the U.S....which is a civil right. They cannot legally get a SS card/number, which is a civil right. They cannot file a case in a civil court (which is why this lawsuit is completely BS!)...which is a CIVIL right. They cannot be gainfully employed, which is a civil right. They cannot run for public office, which is a civil right. I could go on for days! Civil....meaning civilians of the US...they are not civilians of the US. They have select constitutional rights....which derive from basic human rights. They are not allowed to keep and bear arms...they are not free from unreasonable search and seizure....they are allowed due process, trial by jury, and prohibition of excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment. They are allowed freedom of speech and religion.

Ya wanna debate...because this is my cup of tea!
