Christ is risen!

Ace and Gary are just punks that get a thrill from posting inflammatory things.
If the confrontation were in person they would more likely wet themselves before they could say anything bold.
Lol x10000

Pot calling the kettle black.

You guys just cry and cry that your hate the world party keeps getting ruined.

In person it wouldn't go anywhere tough guy. You would have to put down the snickers bar and Monster energy drink and get out of your oversized gaming chair.

Nobody here worships Biden. Geez you are dense. The only people who bring up Biden is you clowns. Seems to me that Hunter Biden is Jesus because LE keeps bringing him back from the dead.
Ya, we are having a decent conversation here and politics and name calling has no place. Religion is a big enough topic.

Absolutely I do. Actually the majority of the gospels, in fact all of them and the rest of the New Testament were written by men who lived when Jesus was on the earth. Mathew, Mark, Luke, John and Peter were Jesus’s disciples. Paul also lived at the same time. As for Jesus not actually dying, sorry, He hung until he had no breath left, no heart beat and the Roman soldier pierced his side with his spear which made all his blood and fluids rush out. He was dead, no doubt after all the torture He went through for us. People have always and will always try to discredit the Biblical accounts of its history. People even try to say the Red Sea was only knee deep where the Children of Israel crossed after leaving Egypt. Kind of surprised the Egyptian army would drown in knee deep water. It sounds like you have heard or read the Bible which is great. But not all will believe. Like I said before, it’s totally up to you. I’m not going to condemn you for not believing the way I do. We all have to make a decision as to who or what we believe. Whether that is in a God, singular or in the trinity, a religion, or in atheism. As for me and my eternity, I chose to believe the Bible. It all comes down to the fact that we will be held responsible for our own decision.
The famous line from 1984 applies to religion more than anything else-“who controls the past controls the future, who controls the present controls the past”.

There are so many contradictions in the origin of the early gospels that combined with the motivations of the religious leaders in history one has to question the authenticity. There is early reference to Jesus rising “spirituality”, then physically, then he tells his buddies to put their fingers in the hole in his side... none of the gospels can be accurately tracked to the time surrounding Jesus’s death, most many years later. Personally, I don’t think you’d have to wait a long time to write about something like that... oh yeah, how many people in that day and age could write or had access to writing materials? The people in charge did...

Why did the church leaders have to meet in 325 ad to “decide” if Jesus was actually god? That’s a tough one for your story about the accuracy of the gospels and whether they changed over the years.

Why is there no reference to the famous “adulteress “ story (“cast the first stone”) in any of the early versions? It didn’t appear until much later versions. Convenient addition, you’d sure think that would have been one of the first ones...

It sure seems you put a lot of time and effort into trying to convince Christians they are wrong and foolishly wasting their lives by believing in God. What exactly is your goal? The only thing you two have proven is you are a couple of dipsh*ts that try very hard to take the other side of the road on every topic. Yes, we all see the pattern. I personally don't bash someone because they don't go to church or if they are Muslim or Jewish. It is sad to see you guys get such a kick out of being idiots. If you conduct your everyday life in the same way as you are on this forum, I would guess you two are not exactly surrounded by friends.

If the meme posters destroy your argument, your s hit is weak. That may well evolve into another crybaby rant.

That said, I haven't been much of a fan of organized religion for 30+ years, but there is no question that I 100% support those that do. In the end I treat decent people the same, and they reciprocate.

Wow, you sound like a tolerant loving Christian... rather than calling me names and saying I have no friends like a 12 year old how about you answer the simple questions I posed? They really should be simple if you’re right. I’d love to hear a real defence or explanation that goes beyond “just have faith”... it’s really easy to see through it if you look at it objectively, and like I said before I find it quite interesting in a weird sort of way that grown intelligent people still believe this stuff.

I’ve got tons of friends, but none of em believe in imaginary friends so I might as well chat about it with such nice friendly guys like yourself...

If you can’t handle someone raising real questions about an issue like this in an Internet forum that for all intents and purposes is really just entertainment then maybe you should question your faith a bit.

JTK, even for an irrelvent Canadian citizen on these matters, but thanks for your endless virtue signaling on the topic. Maybe you should go back to pouring hod, or directing entry level workers on how to bend nails. There's no doubt that you don't hire the addicted peeps from Vancouver or elsewhere in you province,....... soooo

Your shi t is weak.

This topic was started by a Christian member wishing other Christians a happy Easter. You and Simple brought on the attack bashing Christians and their their beliefs in the same fashion you would trash someone for buying the wrong brand of sled. Exactly what part of low class dipsh*t thinking entitles you in that way? Look in the mirror when you have time and you will see exactly what is wrong with America and the lack of moral character that is becoming so prevalent today. I have raised 2 children that still attend Church as young adults and I am proud to say neither one of them enters a conversation with the intent of just trying to offend and belittle people. I am quite sure their faith played a part of that character development. Looks to me that some Church time might have done you both some good, or maybe you should just grow up.

Hey sfrum1967 keep virtue signaling please. It might help LE understand the actual definition of the term. Hey LE it is another term for moral grandstanding. Grandstanding is another term for superiority. Sfrum 1967 also likes to tell us how he pays his taxes like a proud American. Not sure how morals play into that but he wants us to know he is a honest Christian soldier who always follows the rules. He is so sanctimonious!

Wow, maybe you should take a lesson from your kids and not call people names or belittle them and whine so much...

I really didn’t think you had the guts to answer what I asked, oh well. You interpret it as attacking you, I want to hear how the mental gymnastics work to allow you to think around such obvious contradictions and “have faith “ is a weak and simple minded answer.

One of the biggest issues I take with guys like yourself is the indoctrination of your kids-of course they are still believers because it’s been pounded into their heads as the honest truth since birth with zero opportunity for critical thinking or discussion. If one of your kids asked you questions about the origins of the gospels would you have a rational discussion or would you tell them that's blasphemy ? C’mon, let’s see an answer and not name calling...

Oh yeah, I’ve never trashed someone for buying the wrong snowmobile and have owned all brands over the years, even a mountain max back in 2001. Long stretch on cats, one skidoo, now on Polaris and loving it. But I’d switch if someone made a better sled for what I do. It’s kinda fun to have the one that a lot of others in the area don’t and quietly ride circles around them.

What if one of you punks announced that it was your kid's birthday, and we made posts mocking your kid, about how stupid he/she is etc?

Wouldn't be very cool, would it.

Well we love our Lord and Savior more than you love your kids, so you can imagine how thoughtless you both appear.

For your info, my kids didn't attend Sunday school when they were young. They started attending when confirmation started and they were given the choice of which church to attend, mine or their mothers. I don't have to "pound it into their heads" or brain wash or any of your other phrases you like to use, and it has always been their choice to continue doing what ever feels right for them. To be direct as possible the point I am trying to make is no one on here is looking to stop being a Christian based on your opinion of religion and If anyone on here was looking to drop religion from their life I am sure they will PM you for more input. It seems that you are on a mission to change everyones mine for whatever purpose, so maybe you should apply at CNN.

You are even more confused than I thought. Once again no one can speak to the mental gymnastics required to be a “believer “ but you are really good at hurling insults. How very Christian of you.

Answer this-if the bible is 100% factual and the earth formed in 4004 BC or whatever then how do you explain dinosaurs and the FACT that the earth is over 4 billion years old?

Also, if god is perfect and created man in his image then shouldn’t man be perfect? If that’s the case then why did Jesus need to die for your sins?

You’re not going to shut me up with cheesy insults and claims that you love your imaginary friend more than I love my kid. That’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard all day and I work in construction management...

I honestly don’t care if you worship an imaginary friend. I do care when people whose lives are totally run by that belief are in positions of power and use that belief to influence public policy.

I’d love to hear a clear well thought answer to the obvious and plentiful contradictions beyond “have faith”. It seems totally insane to me, I challenge you to prove me wrong. That goes for you too 1967.

I am far from perfect, and I certainly don't have the patience to try to tell anything to someone that has no interest in listening.
I guess if I see you on the other side, someone got through to you, and it was probably a far better man than I.

You believe what you believe and I believe what I believe and until we die we will never know who is right. I have never felt that I have to justify my faith to anyone, as I am quite comfortable with it. I am happy for you that you find it so fulfilling trying to trash Christianity. I guess everyone needs a mission in life. I do find it very interesting that you believe Religion has a bad influence on public policy. I think we can find as many bad public officials that don't go to church as those who do. We also care when people in positions of power use their lack of morals to change public policy, and that seems a lot more damaging.

Thanks Simp! It's nice to know you think so highly of me.

I didn’t think either of ya had the guts to answer.

I don’t find trashing Christianity “fulfilling”, I just am completely mystified by the whole thing. Sure, religion made sense when no one knew what a thunderstorm was, “guess god must be pissed because why the heck else would that happen “ but the whole story just doesn’t square with what we know today.

Maybe it runs in the family, my ancestors, late 1800’s or so, got booted out of Alcase-Lorraine on the French/German border because they discovered that a statue of the “virgin” Mary that would weep when people kneeled before it to pray was a fake. They discovered that there was a loose board that when kneeled on made water flow from the eyes. It only worked when someone kneeled in the right spot. This ruse pissed them off, so they put red dye in the pipe. Next day Mary cried blood, people lost it and they got run outta town. No ****, true story. Wonder why the church felt the need to “reinforce “ people’s faith a bit with a fake “miracle”even in those days? Bet that wasn’t the only one of those statues in the world around then...

Keep the insults coming or don’t. I’m pretty confident that if there is an “other side “ pledging allegiance to one version or another of the story of the creator isn’t gonna be what gets you there. Isn’t it the height of arrogance to believe that your favourite supernatural being is the only one and the other billions of people are totally wrong? With nothing other than a book and a preacher to prove it?

I would agree that the Catholic Church in Europe hundreds of years ago was about power and control, history is well recorded on that. I personally feel that that history does not reflect what Christianity is about. If you attend most churches today it is centered around family, community, and helping those who need it. The Lutheran Church has been criticized for years for bringing refugees from Africa to America using dollars from private donations, but now we are told Americans are racist. American Churches are some of the largest supports and contributors of local food banks and shelters for the homeless, yet if we make a good living that allows us to make those donations we are privileged. Religion is not about control or deception. To most of us it a guide to making good choices in life. Take it as you will.
