Changing MCX Boost Tube

Has anyone tried building a hard boost tube for the MCX turbo kits like they use in the powderlites kit? If so how did it work out. It seems like this would be a better way to go than squashing the boost tube in beside the motor. This just does not seem right to me. Any thoughts on how the bends would affect flow and performance.

their proto type kit had a aluminum tube but they changed it on the production kits.

on my apex mcx rearmount 310 kit,I notched out the area on the deltabox that compress the boost hose, reinforced the deltabox on the upperside.end result was a terrible trottle hang up when boosting only 14 psi.the mcx intercooler dump was nowhere able to handle this.I think there is performance left on the table, plus you'll take out more heat and stress for the turbocharger.
