cans for 800 R motor

My buddies use the MBRP and seems happy with them. I have never had any luck with cans. Tried "The Thing", MBRP. Always ended up having to go back to stock because of performnace issues.

My .02.

I had a HPS can on my last year 800R. It lost horsepower. I sled at 8-11,000 feet. Don't know if that is why. This year used the SLP (on my XP 163) Can had no problems and sounded great.

a friend and i used the ultraQ silencers from skins, they have performed flawlessly, just as light and as good of quality as HPS, Quiet also. friend had HPS, Too loud for him, really like the ultra Q.

Rod

i run a MBRP on my 2007 800r.. sounds great, my buddies all run HPS and they are just a little quieter but still sound good.
8,000-10,000 feet

I run the HPS can on my 08 XP. Sounds good and seems to be working well. ( 8000-12000 ) The only way I can say it appears to be working is by drag racing on the way out to the hills. When I run my buddys stock sled with the stock can on I always pull him in the mid to upper. Im a 154 and he is a 146. I know its not apples to apples here but overall he is 30 lbs less than me with a lighter sled. My best guess would be that the can is leaning out the A/F and putting down 1 or 2 HP more. Or my sled is just set up better!! LOL

I have the HPS on my XP. Sounds good and is not much louder than stock. I ride between 3000-7000 feet.
