By the way that is a MCXpress REAR mount which is much less likely to catch fire.
Old School, do you have a check value on the oil tank? The value will prevent the engine oil from pumping out if the motor is running with the sled up side down. Bacause your sled is fuel injected it will just keep running (no bowls to empty). The phazer is such a differant chassis, you will probably tip it over while learning how to ride it.

I will tell the little I know. Dee and Trey at Altitude Boost are the ones to ask (I called and left a message asking for more info).
Especially because the new Apex, Nytro and Phazer are fuel injected and will keep running even when NOT setting upright, it is important to prevent the engine oil from pumping out of the oil tank through the breather tube. There is an after market value on the breather tube that remains open during normal operation but closes if the sled is tipped over, preventing spillage.
This info is subject to revision. I will give more details after speaking the installer.

Thanks for the info alrevedup nope there isnt a check valve in there at the moment wasnt even aware that one existed, i do plan on putting a tether on to shut the sled off in the event i do tip it over to prevent an oil problem. but you are right and if its to far verticle you can loose it out of the turbo as well. Is there a turbo specific air filter with out the gauze to prevent filter freeze up?

I can only speak for the Phazer, but the phazer will shut off if its upside down.

Old School, I don't know about the filter or the ignition circuit. My nytro will run upside down until I shut it off.
The more I think about it the more I am not sure I understand. Are you saying there is a air filter other than the prefilter on the snorkel? Looks like you have a K&N prefilter, MCX also makes one just for the kits.

Correct there is a pre filter along with a 4 inch k an N Filter with wire and gauze/paper material and the guy i bought it from mentioned it will some times freeze.
kylie since your air filter is snorteled you should have min issues of freezing. just need to knock off the snow from time to time

Who did you buy the Phazer from? Who put the turbo on? Just wondering, cause my little bro works at the South Xtreme store. He is pretty good, has done a couple of turbos for the Yammies!

It was a demo sled from last year but still considered new to yamaha the kit was installed by the owner sean and with help from High Altitude Boost in salida. I Picked it up Tuesday.

Did you buy the extra 2 years of service with your sled. Thats 5 years in all.
Even with the turbo on it, its covered.
