c.o. snow conditions

Kwolh

We didn't have to work too hard to get to the low summit. A few hard pulls and tree dodging. The south face to the first bowl was untracked and was a bit challenging for the less experienced of our group. The big bowl was perfect with the dome mostly covered but still exposed. All-in-all it was spectacular. The only part we didn't do was the East face. We had 1 too many rookies on the ride. Oh well, next time...

Good info here! OMG parking sux at dutchman. If you ask me, they should expand that snopark and make it motorized only and let the skinnyskiers park at mt. b and punch them a trail over to dutchman flat.

Just my 2cents....

The left one is Revy...The right one is N.Idaho..The ID pic is a 4 bowl complex that usually take 3-4 hrs of the day breaking trail in but is well worth it. 8 sleds can't track it all up in one day.
Here's a pic from the top looking east into MT...Actually the top of the ridge is MT...

Hey defys, How do you like N Idaho? I am tired of c.o. and all the bs around here. What is the gov. like and how are the greenies are they thick up there? Most importantly how is the sleddin? More pics please. Thanx

We like it. The cost of living is about 25% less. Gas is 2.90 to 3 bucks a gallon and it's predominatly a Republican state. Heck, the Governor went on record to say he couldn't wait to hunt wolves when they get delisted....
No snow parks. You have some common areas to park and ride from but you can just park where the road ends and take off on public land. We do that quite a bit using GPS to get to areas they don't groom or aren't common riding area's. Revy is 6-7 hrs and about 3 or 4 of us make that trip 3-4 times a year for 3 day's of riding but you only have to go 1/2 that far into B.C. and still have epic riding.
Usually I drive 1 to 1.5 hrs to ride for the day. I gotta say I do miss that short drive up to Mt B and end up a 6k feet.
We get about as much annual snow as Bach. but at a lower elevation.
If I had my druthers, I would look at the McCall area or S. East Idaho. Stanley, Island Park but work kinda directed where I could go and I ain't complaining.
Here's a few from New Denver, BC and local....
Where do you work, what do you do??

sweet pics snowmobiler. Since I'm old now (and the partying is done), I'll quit bailing on riding with you...lame, I know I've been.

That picture that you took of Broken Top is amazing. You should sumbit it to the Bend Living magazine.

Also, on sunday(1/13) I lost the handle to my shovel some where around Moon Mtn. I rode around and tried to find it but I was unsucccessful. If you found it, I could really use it. It is a black metel shovel handle. Thanks.

No way!! I tried for about 30 min to try and pick that thing out of the snow. But since it was so deep and pitted out I was not able to stop. I hate to tell you this but by about 3pm there were so many people up there it disappeared in all the fluff..........................

Yeah it was on moon, about 1/4 of the way up. Just the handle was sticking out of the snow and I thought it might have been the whole shovel. Like I said I tried to grab it a few times with no luck. Then after about a 1/2 hour it disappeared:(
